Touching romance

This should be called Lao Wuyi... Can you say that this is the only romance film that Quentin has made? When I was young, Quentin didn't like the babbled lines. The older I got, the more I liked the logic and flavors in the long and seemingly boring lines. The whole movie is all about the helplessness and discouragement of every character who is old and helpless.

It's really like watching a romance movie. There are few emotional dramas, but they are moving. Love is not just a catharsis, it is a faint little love, a little ambiguous, and unexplained reluctance.

This is the first Quentin movie I've seen

Today is Quentin’s 57th birthday, and he specifically marked a movie directed by him to commemorate this alternative ghost. And this movie may be the least well-known of Quentin's 10 movies, how low is it? Station B doesn't even have a parsed video, no fast food for a few minutes. Judging from the content of the movie, it lasted two and a half hours, only 7 shots were taken and 3 people were killed, and there were almost no bloody shots. It was not Quentin anymore, and the lengthy and unmatched lines were again. In particular, Quentin, the interludes in the movie are probably carefully selected by the director himself, which is in line with his own taste, and it is unique to eat with the plot. Generally speaking, the rhythm is not fast or slow, the initial stage is relatively long, and the audience is prone to lose patience. The narrative technique is mainly to try to restore the event from three perspectives when the exchange is 500,000. It is interesting and possible to express the theme. Relatively lackluster, maybe some value judgments have been incorporated into some lines and part of the plot. In the end, letting the female thief go unpunished is some kind of anti-routine.

Jackie Brown quotes

  • Ordell Robbie: You can't trust Melanie. But, you can always trust Melanie to be Melanie.

  • Ordell Robbie: Melanie real good about throwing a fuck a nigger's way. I mean, she ain't no damn good at it, but she likes to fuck.

Louis: Oh, so, she ain't your girlfriend.

Ordell Robbie: Is that what you thought?

Louis: Nah, I wasn't sure, you know.

Ordell Robbie: But you fucked her anyway, though, huh?

Louis: Well - the not your girlfriend part I felt more about.

Ordell Robbie: Oh,, I hope you felt appropriately guilty afterwards.

    Louis: Afterwards, I did.

    [Louis and Ordell both laugh]
