Fascism in the beautiful countryside

Strongly stylized British action comedy, the first dozen minutes is responsible for the funny, the last 20 minutes is responsible for the action, and both have achieved first-class standards, and the combination is seamless. The 8 points on IMDB are absolutely worth the money. It is estimated that such a comedy can only be produced in the UK. It has an extremely black and humorous plot, the nonsensical performance of the old drama bones, fierce and delicate editing, inexhaustible details, just right dubbing, and cosplay of N many classic movies. Everyone speaks weird British English, as well as flying knives, men's double guns, old women, attacking fat guys over fences and so on. So many good things are packaged into a movie, and you know how exciting it is. Absolutely. It's worth watching and watching, watching and watching.
But I like to talk about something that is just a little bit lighter in this comedy, but I extend it to something heavier-fascism.

Before the outbreak of World War II, Germany under Hitler's rule was peaceful, the people's life was prosperous, the factory was full of production, and the national power was significantly increased. The shame was all cleaned up. Diplomacy has repeatedly succeeded. , But in fact, this is only, and can only be a flash in the pan. Only six years later, this sin-born poppy withered, leaving the Germans devastated-Germany was divided, 8 million Germans died, the once beautiful homeland became rubble, and the Germans who survived Weeping on the ruins, do not know how to continue life in the future.

The small town of Sandford in the movie is like Germany before the war. White horses are grazing in the green grass spread like a blanket. The houses on the spotless streets are strewn with houses, the green trees and red flowers are decorated with garlands on the walls, and under the medieval church. The townspeople are happy, there are no thieves, no beggars, no Gypsies, no murders, no protests, no idle youth... If you put a princess in it and add some music, you will think you are in a fairy tale world.

Unfortunately, there is no fairy tale world in the world. Although the twelve elders in the town will declare the beauty of the town like the Nazis, there are countless dead souls hidden under the beautiful castle. In Germany, people surrender their freedom and conscience. The Nazis promised happiness and the future. The fascists burned books in the name of the revival of the German Empire to dissolve political parties, expelled Jews, arrested dissidents, exterminated homosexuals and Gypsies, and the Presbyterian Church carried out secret executions in the name of keeping Sandford clean and beautiful. It is so bizarre. The lawyer was beheaded because of poor acting skills, the female committee member died because of bad laughter, wholesalers turned roast pigs and complained that the style of the house built was inconsistent, and the newspaper editor had too many typos and a new spine was grown. The horticulturist had to move away, but the throat was cut. The local townspeople still did that. Of course, the gypsies from the outside had no physiology, even children and dogs.

The theoretical basis for all of them to do such evil deeds is that they have mastered the absolute truth. Their logic is that the absolute truth will and must be realized, and those who master the absolute truth are absolutely correct. Then, All other people and all theories are wrong, there is no value at all, of course it should be cut off, and there is no need for mercy and guilt.
Although absolute truth is abstract, the reason for the elimination of dissidents is concrete. Absolute truth will inevitably lead to absolute power. It is only a technical issue for the people who hold this power and the reason for their death. Those things mentioned by Hitler and the Presbyterians can be seen.
This world that absolute authority uses force to shape is definitely not a heaven. In fact, the beauty shaped by evil is even uglier than the evil in the common world where good and evil coexist.

Therefore, don’t believe in absolute truth. There is no panacea in the world. Human beings are blind and are always trying to groping for that elephant. The world is unknowable from a certain angle, and we are ignorant from a certain angle. Keeping doubts and exploring may be the belief that individuals and groups of people can always stick to.
