Tear-resistant

After watching "City of Philharmonic", I took advantage of the heat and brushed up this comedy by Commander Gao. To be honest, it is lower than expected. The performance of the two protagonists is actually good, but the weakness is the joke in the script.

Obviously the 1970s is a very interesting point for writing, and it is also a setting that can generate a lot of jokes. However, the film is set in the 1970s except for the image of the characters and the environment. There is no joke in the 1970s. Such a good background setting. There is also a lack of jokes in the whole film, except for the awkward meeting in the toilet in the trailer, I think there is nothing to make me laugh out loud.

Looking at Ren Jiru, I couldn't see the chemical reaction between the two protagonists. The performances of the two people are very consistent with the character setting, and the stupid body language of the high commander is really laughable. But when the two of them cooperated, the sparks of the two protagonists did not merge into one to release greater energy. On the contrary, both of them became ordinary and unremarkable.

As a comedy, it is very rare that its villain does not play any jokes. Not to mention wasting the contrast between the handsome face of Peacock and the strange bangs, this villain is also quite confusing in terms of logic and behavior. It feels that his appearance is not bad for the good things of the two protagonists, but step by step to complete the two people's career. The political intentions of this article are also very superficial. It simply opposes the behavior of government officials in the process of industrialization. Although there is a great collusion of interests in this process, it is inevitable to be honest. We shouldn’t be overly idealized. Maybe we can only think about it in the movie. How can we not spare ourselves like that girl to make a pornographic film that exposes our relatives’ involvement in corruption.

In general, this film is not very viewable. After watching it, I even felt that I wasted two hours just listening to the small animal neighs of the high commander.

Personally, I think that the director is far behind Guy Ritchie in handling the plot of the two male heroes. Maybe the director is not interested in this.
