The
reason why Hua Qianshu has such a title is somewhat of a party meaning. You don’t know "The Story of Seinfeld", but you should always know "Friends"?
Of course, it is not unreasonable to say that "The Story of Sein Fei" and "Friends" are equally famous. Whether it is the ratings or the number of awards, "The Story of Sein Fei" is not weaker (if you can't say that it is stronger) than "Friends". So the question is, why is the reputation of "The True Story of Sein Fei" in China far inferior to "Friends"? I also started this sitcom with this question. After reading it, I think there are many reasons, but the most important thing is the three views.
When "Friends" fans recalled "Friends", eight out of ten would say "moving". Yes, although it is a sitcom, the most impressive thing is "family", "friendship", and "friendship" after laughing. "Love", um, "Friends" is a bowl of chicken soup at its core.
But "The Story of Sein Fei" is different. After watching the nine seasons, there are only a handful of moving scenes. Wait a minute, it seems that I don't need a hand, because I can't think of any of them.
"Friends" has two unobvious main lines, career and love. For example, for Rachel, "Friends" records her life journey from a rich girl to a middle-level fashion company, and for Chandler, "Friends" tells the story of his search for and finally found love.
But none of these are in "Sein Fei's True Story". None of the four protagonists is ambitious, and their job is to beg for food. love? Here we are changing boy and girl friends like a horse-by-play, but love is always absent. People always break up because of some boring little things, and there will be no tears.
Although the story backgrounds of "Friends" and "The Story of Song Fei" are both in New York, the three views of "Friends" are much more traditional than those of "The Story of Song Fei". In "Friends", everyone wants to start a family (except for Joey), but in "Sein Fei's Biography" everyone does not have this idea.
In fact, halfway through "Sein Fei's True Story", I was puzzled. How does it end? "Friends" allows everyone to end in pairs, what about "Sein Fei's True Story"?
When I saw the ending later, I was shocked:
In the last episode of "Sein Fei's True Story", the four protagonists saw a robbery on the street. It was a fat man who was robbed. They stood on the sidelines and said that it is safer to grab a fat man because the fat man cannot catch up with you. Kind of quips, as a result, there was a local law that did not allow witnesses to stand by, so they were prosecuted. In the trial, the prosecutor found one witness after another, told one story after another, and finally succeeded in persuading the jury, so the four protagonists were found guilty.
Yes, this sitcom ended with the four protagonists imprisoned.
I personally think this ending is very good, because there is a very basic comedy question-can we take the suffering of others as a joke?
Don't rush to deny it, don't you laugh when someone slips to the ground stepping on a banana? Of course, people have another psychology. If an old lady slips and falls, we are unlikely to laugh. But the boundaries here are blurred, and this is particularly obvious in our time.
The complexity of modern society is comparable to that of non-traditional society. People are very strange, and the three views between people are also very different. Therefore, the same story has some laughter and heartache. I watched Zhao Benshan’s sketches and laughed. Some people said that he couldn’t laugh because he saw the pain of farmers and disabled people. In the movie "Charlotte Troubles", others laughed when they watched. I couldn’t laugh. Seeing the gloom of the loser's psychology.
The same story has some laughter and some heartache, it is inevitable that there will be conflicts, what should be done? This is the question that "The Story of Sein Fei" has always wanted to discuss. The four protagonists of "The Story of Sein Fei" are like children who have not grown up. They are self-centered, making jokes one after another. I think they are too much, but to the end, Seeing them being tried by the court, I felt that it was too much.
After all, the four protagonists just don't consider others or simply save others by themselves, and they rarely deliberately deceive or harm others. You can say that they are superficial, you can say that it is morally wrong for them to make fun of other people's suffering, but it is too exaggerated to use the law.
Perhaps, compared to "Friends", the core of "Sein Fei's True Story" is more modern, because I always feel that we are living in a superficial age that lacks understanding.
