The last shot determines the tone of the whole film

Adapted from a novel, the overall plot is relatively reasonable, and there are many reversals in the whole film.

At first Jack Reacher appeared, saying that he was not here to help the gunman, but to solve him. The bad heroine's father is the villain, and turns out to be the little black detective. The biggest reversal is obviously to reveal that the gunman is not the real murderer.

The factor that made the film a popular movie was the last shot at the old man. Usually, the protagonists in the end, because of the influence of some halo effects, will choose to let the government functional departments to solve the problem, even in the face of hateful enemies, they must put aside their private opinions, and let the villains get "legal sanctions." In this film, the old man said very happily that even if the police came, he could still have a set of rhetoric that would make the hero tragic in an instant. Just when the audience thought "No way, here again, the male protagonist is going to be humanitarian again", the reacher shot the problem, solved the problem simply and neatly, without any worries, and finally met the mood of the viewers. If in the end he insists on waiting for the functional organization to come, then I can probably only give 2 stars...

Anyway, not bad, waiting for the second one.

Jack Reacher quotes

  • [from trailer]

Jack Reacher: You think I'm a hero? I am not a hero. And if you're smart, that scares you. Because I have nothing to lose.

  • Jeb: Hey. Outside.

Jack Reacher: Pay your check first.

    Jeb: I'll pay later.

Jack Reacher: You won't be able to.
