A little conjecture about the ending

At the end of the movie, Allen and Sara return to their childhood and have the memory of the game. Twenty-six years later, the two married and met brothers and sisters Judy and Pete. Stopped their parents from being killed, and it's over.

After watching the movie, I think this should be a parallel universe concept. After the game, Allen and Sara returned to their childhood in 1969. Call it Parallel Universe 1. Judy and Pete should be staying in 1995, and everything is over to return to normal life. Call it Parallel Universe 2.

They live in two different parallel universes. Alan Sara in Parallel Universe 1 met Judy and Pete after 26 years, but found out that they didn’t know him. Explain that the siblings did not play games with them at that time. To prevent their parents from being killed, they became friends. But the siblings in Parallel Universe 2 are not so lucky. After the game, everything returned to the original state, still living with my aunt, but with the memory of a magical experience.

The above is purely personal conjecture, please correct me.
