This script is really wonderful

This classic may have been watched on TV when I was young, but I must have not watched it from start to finish. There was a remake in Hollywood two years ago, and it feels pretty bad. Now I can finally enjoy the original version of 1990, which is great! Paul Vanhoven’s works are absolutely guaranteed. I can only admire this script is really wonderful, it inspired many science fiction movies afterwards, such as "The Matrix", "Inception" and so on. The special effects makeup is absolutely worthy of praise, even if you look at it today, it is not inferior. As for a philosophical proposition mentioned in the film, I am very interested: what is the value of judging a person, his memory or what he is doing now? Unfortunately, this is still a commercial film after all. Although it is directed by a major European art director, the rhythm of the film is too late to fully elaborate on this proposition, and it moves towards dazzling visual effects and intense action scenes. However, it is quite commendable to be able to experience such high-quality audio-visual and the dual combination of a more profound literary style in the old films of the 90s. But on the other hand, it seems to be able to see the dilemma of Hollywood commercial films deteriorating in recent years.

I recently bought a lot of Schwarzenegger films. I saw this old film from 1990. I didn’t expect it to be so good. Many creative ideas are still very bright. The script is well written, and the plot is quite twists and turns. More movie reviews, my blog: blog.sina.com.cn/bluesliver

Never thought about it before, is it a B-level film? What is the cost? I also didn't find the Governor said "Trust me, that's right" on his face when he smiled. No wonder he deceived the people of California. The original work is still Philips K Dick.

Total Recall quotes

  • [while being chased and shot by Richter in another Johnnycab]

Benny: [yells at Quaid] What are you trying to do to me, man?

    Melina: Shut up and drive!

Benny: Hey, I got five kids to feed.

  • Douglas Quaid: Tell me something. Are all psychics...

Benny: Freaks? Afraid so, man. It goes with the territory.

Douglas Quaid: What happened to them?

Benny: Cheap domes and no air to clean out the rays.

[they are outside The Last Resort]

Benny: So, this is it. The Last Resort! You sure you wanna go in there, man?

    Douglas Quaid: Why not?

Benny: 'Cause I know this *much* better place down the street! The girls are cleaner, the liquor ain't watered down...

Douglas Quaid: Sure, and you get kickbacks.

Benny: Ha ha ha ha! Hey man, I got five kids to feed!

Douglas Quaid: [gives him a wad of cash] Take them to the dentist.

Benny: Hey! Thanks, mister! Listen, I'll be waiting right here for you! Benny's the name. Benny!
