The spirit of science fiction is actually the spirit of science

The spirit of science fiction is actually the spirit of science. Strictly speaking, it is the spirit of human philosophy (love-wisdom). All knowledge and attitudes that claim that I have known enough or that no matter how much you know are useless, are not the original knowledge and attitudes of mankind. Anti-intellectualism specifically corresponds to those universal truths and nationalisms. Because only in the latter, the pursuit of truth is superfluous. When human intellectual pursuit constitutes a challenge to established truth or established authority, how can it not be slandered as a reaction? However, "the day after hearing the truth, death can be done" is just like the human spirit of freedom, which is born with it. Gorgian-style skepticism will never lead to anti-intellectualism; while cynics like Diogenes are submissive in appearance and cunning inwardly.

This passage in the movie inspired me: "I have had such an experience, and I cannot confirm it or explain it, but as a member of humanity, I feel that it is true with all my heart. I have been endowed with it. Such a wonderful thing, it has changed everything about me forever. It is a foresight, a foresight about the universe, which definitely tells us how small and insignificant we are, but how rare and precious we are; that is a Foreseeing, telling us that we belong to this kind of thing, it is greater than us, it makes each of us no longer feel lonely. I hope I can share with others, I hope that everyone, even for a brief moment, can feel that Fear, humbleness and hope."

This is an effort to interpret Kant's "starry sky above his head" in the entire movie. Science can also construct the meaning of human life just like religion.
