The real master of Hitchcock, the meaning is not only in the same kind of mountain

It's a pity that I've been fascinated by Hitchcock's works, probably because I can't stand the slow pace and black-and-white tones of films of that era. Until today, I revisit the classics, and after watching for more than an hour, I still can't calm the shock of the whole film for a long time.
Indeed, nowadays, I have watched many similar movies, suspenseful, criminal or schizophrenic. I think I can see through the tactics arranged by the director and the screenwriter in this kind of film. I can’t help but sigh during watching "The Cry", thinking that Hitchcock might be afraid. It is indeed the originator of this kind of film, so it's awesome! However, the plot arrangement is too simple and straightforward today. After all, no matter the performance method is not as passionate as "Boxing Club", and the split personality is not as complicated as "Fatal ID", it seems that the test of brain power is less than 40 or 50 years of evolutionary development. Due to the limitations of technical methods and other issues, although the grasp of the film's rhythm and the suspenseful settings make people sweat, but from the current perspective, it is still annoying. After all, after many similar films, I have already guessed it after watching this film. In the end of split personality, the psychologist's explanation was only to correct and correct one's conjecture.
but! ! ! However, I have reviewed various film reviews of Douyou, such as "Some explanations from the psychologist at the end", "The last avatar overlaps and the reverberation is around the beam again" and so on. I can only say one thing regrettably, I'm afraid this film is yours. Did not really understand.
The following are some statements to start the key part of this review:
1. I personally believe that I have watched many schizophrenia-themed movies, but the shock this film has brought me is by no means comparable to that of "Fatal ID" and "Fight Club" And;
2. Hitchcock is the master! Do you think that the master himself will tell the truth through the mouth of a psychologist at the end of the film? This is not what a master did;
3. The self-report of the film wrapped in a blanket at the end is the finishing touch, but if you don’t score 8 points for the entire film, you should score 16 points after the self-report, I’m sorry, I’m afraid you really didn’t watch it carefully.
The selling point ends here. Before I explain in detail, I will post the psychiatrist's statement and Norman's blanket statement.
The psychiatrist said, "He stole her body and even treated it as a living person. So he started thinking and talking for her, giving her half of her life so that she could speak. Sometimes he might act as two people in a conversation at the same time. At other times, the mother has all the roles. He has never been a complete Norman, but he is always a complete mother."
Norman's inner monologue "It's really sad that a mother wants to tell people all over the world that his son is a murderer. But I can’t make them think that I’m a murderer. They won’t pursue it-just like a few years ago. He has been very bad, and now he still says that I killed the girl and that person. It seems that I was sitting besides me. This, like those specimen birds, I can do anything else. They know that I can’t even move my fingers. I can’t move either. I just need to sit here without making a sound, lest they really doubt me. They It may be monitoring me..."
Please note that there is a contradiction between the conclusion of the psychologist here and the monologue of the old woman's accent.
First of all, the result of the psychologist’s discussion is that Norman’s mother personally admitted to killing, but the old man’s psychological self-reported that he did not kill;
second, the psychologist believed that Norman was disguised and the old mother killed someone out of emotional anger, but the old man Self-reported that he can’t move like a specimen bird, and he can’t speak to argue. This is actually a weak personality, weak to incomplete, unable to speak and cannot move, and dare not self-complain. It is definitely not a strong personality as a psychologist said. To be able to swallow Norman's own personality.
We must confirm the fact that the so-called suspense is definitely not a bludgeon. The fundamental difference is that the suspense must be strictly in line with self-logic. Obviously, the above literal analysis of contradictions is illogical, which means that there is actually a logical system of Hitchcock's self-determination hidden behind the scenes.
Since I have already sorted out the logic here through the two paragraphs of self-reports at the end of the rereading twice, please forgive my dullness for not being able to reproduce every trajectory of thinking, but the final conclusion may be put here for discussion.
That is, Norman's personality really split into two parts, one part is his own personality, and the other is his mother's personality. But the killing is not Norman's behavior under the control of his mother's personality, but Norman's own personality pretending to be a murder of his mother. Therefore, Norman pretends to kill, this is not the behavior under the control of the mother's personality, but the behavior that can be disguised as the mother under the control of Norman's self-personality, which means that the killing is not Norman's unconscious behavior under the state of personality split, but Norman. Killing consciously and for self-protection purposes can be disguised as a mother's personality.
To put it more bluntly, there are actually three personalities in Norman, two real split personalities, and one acting personality. Norman himself is a real personality, and the last weak maternal personality that doesn’t speak and moves is also a personality that is naturally split. The murderer, the rainy night and the one who talks to himself and confessed to the psychologists are the pretended motherhood under the control of Norman’s own consciousness. "Pseudo-personality".
Thinking about this, the last question left is, since Norman pretended to be his mother, what was his motive for the murder? My understanding of this is that the harsh image of Norman’s mother made him think that his mother would ask him to kill. For reasons such as fear of his mother, Norman had to do it, and in order to protect himself, he directed and acted in a cross-dressing drama. .
As the saying goes, "Mental patients have a wide range of ideas, and mentally handicapped children are more happy." Norman's self-directed and self-acted drama is really enough to be fake, and it is so true that it has deceived all people and psychologists in real life. It can only be judged according to the logic of the plot setter. That paragraph of Norman's unknown self-report, revealing this level of sudden realization is the most alarming part of this film.
In fact, no matter how much it is said, it’s hard to get what you want. If you have a lot of doubts about this film or if you don’t know the meaning of this film, you may wish to look back and replay the ending two statements several times to get goosebumps. This is the right answer!

Psycho quotes

  • Marion Crane: You can't buy off unhappiness with pills.

  • Norman Bates: The mattress is soft and there're hangers in the closet and stationary with "Bates' Motel" printed on it in case you want to make your friends back home envious.

    [nervous laughter]

    Norman Bates: And, the, eh, over there.

    Marion Crane: The bathroom.

    Norman Bates: Yeah.
