I would like to watch the 101st time (because the plot is too familiar, can't help but spoiler)

Although it is a 90-year-old film, I also watched it a few years ago or more than ten years ago. But recently, in order to practice English listening, I have repeatedly played this film in my store, so that my listening has not improved much, and the lines are basically familiar (in Chinese)... Although it is a bit exaggerated 100 times, even if I actually watch it. After 100 times, I am really willing to appreciate it the 101st time.

"Cinderella" is one of my favorite fairy tales I have ever seen. And this is one of my two favorite love movies (the other is Tony Leung’s "Secretly Love You"). Although this is the story of a sparrow turning into a phoenix like Cinderella, it is based on real life without magic, so although it is out of reach for me, I still think it can really exist.

In addition, Richard Gere, in my opinion, has the same masculine charm as Tony Leung, gentle but dischargeable eyes, handsome face, gentleman style...Even if he is old, he is still so handsome (sorry, I am a idiot) !

Vivian has worked a lot harder than Cinderella's journey to find happiness. Cinderella just treats people around her with kindness, and then waits for happiness to come to her, as well as small animals and fairy godmothers to help. In the film, the heroine Vivian turns into a prostitute when she is unfair. She has a good friend, but she is just a drug prostitute. She lives in a chaotic environment, sells her body for rent all day, and even has no food...
The only luck is that she is in Hollywood, the dream paradise of the United States, and fate made her meet Edward. The other ability to grasp happiness, I personally think it is her kind nature, smart brain, and true love.

Someone commented that this woman is pretty and brainless, then I don't think you must have watched the film carefully.
Vivienne's cleverness is shown from beginning to end, saying that she can study hard if she has no brains, and maybe you can gain something.
*At the beginning of the film, Vivian avoids the rent collector. This is just a cleverness. When a friend introduced a drug dealer to help pimp, she firmly refused. "We say who, we say when, we say how much!" This is a principle that ordinary prostitutes can hardly adhere to.
*When you meet Edward, you have to ask for directions and charge, and the price starts on the ground. Get the big bills and put them in your bag, and stick them on. This seems random, but in fact, she has increased the opportunity for the funder to get to know her and like her.
* Entering a high-end hotel, deliberately molesting rich couples at the elevator entrance. Every time I read this paragraph, I always laughed like the man next to my wife with his mouth open...
*In the room, Edward didn't want to start a transaction in a hurry, but asked for a chat. Although Vivian was a little uncomfortable, she was able to respond quickly and actively.
*Edward negotiated with Vivian several times, and Weiwei Ann didn't lower her worth because she was a street prostitute. She wisely saw Edward and succeeded.
* Under the cue of Edward’s gentle eyes, know how to go......this is up to you...
*Although Edward did not ask, but knew that he was going to a high-end restaurant for dinner, Vivian took the initiative to learn table etiquette, Try not to be ashamed.
*After Vivienne had an appointment with Edward for a week, she said to Edward: I will take care of you and make you reluctant to let me go. Edward said: Thousand dollars a week, I will let you go. Then close the door and leave. But Vivian said to herself: But Im here now. But I am still here. Extremely smart!
*When asked to take care of her, Vivian refused. She herself felt very heartbroken, but she knew that this would not last forever, nor could she get true love. Know that the rapid retreat is the wise choice.

Of course, in addition to being smart, the prerequisites for getting love are kindness, and some small ignorance and innocence that upper-class women do not have. Of course, the most important thing is to have your own bottom line of dignity.
Vivienne knew how to learn about Entubao. She sincerely thanked the hotel manager for her help, and finally won her a new friendship. To Edward’s rival, Vivienne untied Edward through an open and honest dialogue. , To achieve a win-win situation...
Seeing old comedies will make you laugh heartless; being discriminated against by the clothing store clerk, she cried sadly; watching the opera sincerely and moved to tears. In Edward's eyes, Vivienne was a transparent crystal that he had never seen before, beautiful and sincere.

The part I like to watch repeatedly in the film is that Edward takes Vivienne to go shopping spree, and then wears Vivienne on the luxury shopping street in Beverly Hills. The music sounds "Pretty woman, walking down the street, pretty woman, the kind I like meet..." Just as Edward explained to the opera, the same applies to this movie. "The first time people watch it, the reaction is romantic. Some people like it, some people like it. I hate it. People who like it will always like it. People who hate it will learn to appreciate, but they will never be able to blend into their souls and become a part of their lives."

Ps: As Mr. Thompson said: "It must be difficult to let go something beautiful." I can't give up such a beautiful story...
