The young male and female protagonists living on the fictitious island are full of despair in their lives, so they quietly plan an elopement. The feelings between this year-old children are natural and pure, and the love at first sight between them is also out of the sympathy of "the same people who fall into the world". In contrast with the film’s bright tone as an illustration, the lives of the remaining main characters can be described as dark and obscure. The boundless frustration of the Boy Scout Battalion Commander (Edward Norton), the loneliness of the police (Bruce Willis), and the appearance and confusion and anxiety of the heroine's parents (Bill Murray and Francis McDomond) all point to the hero and heroine. The reason for the desperate attitude-absurd chaos, lack of order in the adult world.
This fleeing storm gradually reached its climax in a sudden storm. These adults conquered their weaknesses one by one in this crisis-the battalion commander took on the important task of organizing everyone to escape in times of crisis, the police adopted the protagonist without hesitation, and the girl’s parents finally dared to face the crisis of the family. The author and director are full of warmth and affection for these two neglected children from beginning to end. The steps they took in the desperate moments of their lives are the symbols of courage and innocence in their hearts. Some people say that this movie is about the innocent love of teenagers, which is certainly part of it. In my opinion, the movie talks more about the unquenchable fantasy, longing and hope in the hearts of young people, just like the last scene of the two people building a pure land by the quiet bay at the northernmost end of the island-Moonrise Kingdom.
