There were some questions in my mind after reading, but no one said.

After watching it, I don't think this is a disappointing film. But there are some details, I wonder if I didn't look carefully. Take it out and discuss it with everyone.
Does anyone really understand red dragon? What is the meaning of the shape like a butterfly turning into a cocoon, and the women wearing sunshine next to them? Why do you want to complete his ritual by killing a family on the night of the full moon? And the glass inserted in the eye, really to see yourself when the attack was committed? The reason for choosing those women seems to be unclear in the film. Is there a good privacy yard for him to perform rituals in the moonlight naked? What is the purpose of the pets of the victims in the film? The film did not publicly say about Ralph's criteria for choosing the victim, so I watched this film with many questions, but in the end I didn't see the director tell us the answer. It really hurts.
Regarding the words Ralph said to the blind girl later in the film and his muttering to himself in the attic before, what I understand is that Ralph enshrines the red dragon as an entity and then enshrines the female body as a sacrifice, etc. Things, later he went to the museum to look for paintings because of his feelings and wanted to save the blind girl. Why did he want to eat it? At first I thought he ate it to blend in with the red dragon. . . Wouldn't it be burned if you take it home? Or is this a gimmick designed by the director to increase visual impact?
Ralph was abused when he was a child. Why did this lead him to worship the Red Dragon later?
The title of the film is red dragon, but the film does not tell us what red dragon is. Can anyone who has read the original book come out and answer my questions? Or do I have to see manhunter?
