In fact, starting from "Eleven Arhats", this "Arhat" series of movies has not gone the route of high IQ movies. Its story is not high IQ, because the ending can be guessed from the beginning of the movie. But the characters in the movies are definitely high IQ, which creates the illusion that such movies are high IQ movies. In the third part of the Arhat series, the fabrication of deception has begun to rely on accidental events and sudden additional clues, and the skill of round lies is becoming more and more stretched. But Soderberg's control of the sharpness of the image still allows the rhythm to overcome the plot. This is a bit like Hollywood animation works. What everyone cares about is not the same result, but the hearty process. With a lineup of many stars and lively casino themes, coupled with a bit of condiment-like cold humor, "Thirteen Arhats" can become an excellent New Year's Eve program to replace the Spring Festival Gala.
