Salute to dreams, salute to movies

"If you ever wondered where your dreams come from, you look around. This is where they're made."

What was the first movie made by humans? The first "movie" shot by humans, which can hardly be called a movie, was only 2 minutes in length. There was no story or plot, only a train drove into the platform. This earliest film was shot by two magicians, Lumière brothers, who were also the inventors of the original movie projector. It was in this short two minutes that a train that entered the platform made the audience screaming and jumping up from their seats and hiding everywhere, because at the time, people had never seen such a novel "magic". , I really thought it was a train heading to them.

In 1895, a magician named Georges Méliès was fortunate enough to see this novel "magic show" and was immediately shocked by this unprecedented invention. He made up his mind at that time, such a wonderful invention, so shocking. "Magic show", he must participate in it. He offered 10,000 francs to buy this kind of movie projector from the Magician Brothers, but was rejected because the brothers believed that this kind of trick could only please the audience in a short time, and there would be no market or room for development. After being rejected, Georges Méliès delved into mechanical design by himself, and eventually built a movie projector himself and started the earliest filming. As a magician performing on stage, Georges Méliès initially showed some of his film fragments as the latest and most incredible magic tricks to the audience. If it weren’t for the filming technique, if there was no movie invention, these The performance called "magic" at the time could never be completed.

In 1896, Georges Méliès created the world's first studio, the first film factory, near his property in the outskirts of Paris. For the needs of daylighting, the whole studio is made of glass, and the ceiling and four walls are all made of glass. In 1986 alone, 78 films were born in this studio, and in 1897, another 53 films turned out. This humble little studio in the suburbs of Paris is truly the first dream factory in human history! Here, humans can be called a huge spacecraft flying to the moon. When the spacecraft landed on the moon, the moon turned out to be a playful and disdainful expression; here, the mermaid is playing a joyous game, and the sea dragon king is wearing a golden crown. Surrounded by colorful mermaids, they are triumphant; here, humans fought against zombies and mummies in the first battle. When the zombies were surrounded by groups, they disappeared in an instant.

When another film master later had the honor to visit Georges Méliès’ dream workshop in person when he was young, he recalled the scene and wrote this sentence, which is the English in the inscription:

"Have you ever thought that your dream is Where did they come from? Look around, they were made here!"

Georges Méliès's earliest works include historical films, documentaries, comedies, feature films, and of course his favorites: science fiction films and fairy tales. He is also a screenwriter, director, editor, and performer. He presents his own dreams or daydream-like fantasies, as well as the dreams of many of us, or childhood and adult fantasies, to show us alive before. He is the first person in film history to use multiple exposure, dissolves, time-lapse photography, and manual film dyeing. Around 1900, of course there was no color film, but how could black and white satisfy the expressive desire of this ambitious "dream maker"! So, he painted the film piece by piece by hand, dyeing the film with colorful colors. In 1900, Georges Méliès' DreamWorks produced only 33 films, but these films, both in length and quality, grew with Georges Méliès' ambitions. Among them, Lune à un mètre, which I like very much, described an astronaut who moved the laboratory to the moon, and angels and demons came to visit him.

In 1902, Georges Méliès's studio shot the world's first science fiction film-Le Voyage dans la lune (Journey to the Moon). This famous film tells the scene of human beings landing on the moon. When the spacecraft landed on the moon, it landed on the moon’s eyes, so there was the playful expression in the first picture of this article. This 14-minute movie is the most famous of hundreds of science fiction movies shot by Georges Méliès, and it is also the veritable originator of science fiction movies. In 1902, when Georges Méliès had already started filming a movie of human landing on the moon, where was the Chinese film master? What are the Chinese doing?

Between 1896 and 1913, Georges Méliès made 531 movies, including a large number of popular science fiction and fantasy movies. Unfortunately, the footsteps of the First World War came quietly. After experiencing the war, people may have seen too much real cruelty and helplessness, ugliness of human nature, and mutual killings between races. They lost their right to science fiction films and fairy tales. The interest of story, Georges Méliès' dream workshop has since declined. Afterwards, in order to repay the debt he owed, Georges Méliès had to auction off his movie props. Later, he had no choice but to sell his films, and watched the film melted into his infinite efforts and was made into Heel of woman high heels. These films carrying the dreams of Georges Méliès, these films showing the dreams of countless people before people's eyes, the final ending is the heel of high heels! In order to make a living, Georges Méliès ran a small toy candy store in a Paris train station, and has since disappeared from people's sight. Perhaps as many filmmakers said:

"A happy ending will always only exist in a movie." After

so much preparation, it is the first time to write a movie history~~~~ This article is not just about the history of movies, This is a movieMovie reviews. A 12-year-old boy, alone with the robot left behind by his father, with his perseverance, talent and persistence, not only revealed the huge secret behind this robot, but also repaired the broken robot and the same broken robot. The legendary master, he finally found his home. This is a cover of fantasy adventure, telling about responsibility, individual value, sense of belonging and social position. It is a love letter written to the early black and white silent films full of warmth and dreams. It is also the most sincere tribute to the early great filmmakers.

When Chinese films were still struggling with the hatred of the country and the family, and the three-four-five-six-seven-eight-pointed love that could not be sorted out, Georges Méliès, as the pioneer of science fiction and fantasy films, began to face the unknown as early as around 1900. The exploration, creation and display of dreams and fairy tales. Many Chinese who love movies as much as I don’t even bother to watch fantasy, science fiction and fairy tale movies. They think that they are for children. They would rather continue to cry for the hatred of the country, and continue to confuse other people’s lives. In the desperate situation of love. I don’t know if the reason is true. As Georges Méliès said: “After they have witnessed too much real cruelty, human cruelty, they have lost the mood to appreciate fantasy dreams.”

Fortunately, film art belongs to the whole world after all. international. A group of film masters went forward and succeeded, tirelessly creating dreams. With the development of science and technology, the techniques of dreaming became more and more sophisticated, so there was "king kong" in 1921 and "star wars" in 1979. "ET" in 1982 and "Avatar" in 2009. My grandmother watched "Avatar" through 3D glasses in the cinema when she was 80 years old. She rarely went to the cinema. After watching the movie, she told me that she liked this movie very much. Why? Just because the beautiful planet in the movie was the paradise she had imagined when she was a child. At that moment, in the movie theater, the fantasy of her childhood was truly shown in front of her. Not only her, I think countless people, including myself, of course have the same movie-watching experience as her.

After the end of the First World War, people began to search for and collect Georges Méliès's remnants of film films in the world at garbage stations and waste recycling stations. In the end, about 100 films he created were restored. So, on the occasion of his 150th birthday, there was this "HUGO", a film that pays tribute to him, and also uses the most advanced 3D technology today to pay tribute to the early black and white silent films.

I was thinking: "Does the happy ending really only exist in the movie?"

Through 3D glasses, watching Georges Méliès's silent dyeing film on the big screen is really beautiful!
