"Mulan" is a movie that touched me a lot. The first character-the soldier patrolling on the Great Wall, moved me very much. His first reaction after being attacked by the Huns was not to run away, but to climb up the beacon tower desperately, igniting the beacon tower before the Xiongnu Shanyu, and send out the warning. Facing Shan Yu, he did not beg for mercy, but straightened his chest and gave Shan Yu a final psychological blow.
I was moved by him because I saw another kind of beacon outside the city of Balikun in Xinjiang. During the Yongzheng period, Xinjiang was a time when rebellions were frequent. At that time, many troops were stationed in the city of Barkol, and there were beacon towers ten and twenty miles outside the city. There are only a few soldiers guarding the platform. If the enemy forces suddenly attacked, even if they could ignite the beacon in time, they would not be able to escape. Their fate is either surrender or death in battle. However, I believe that most soldiers will choose to die bravely, just like this little soldier in "Mulan".
Now, the remains of the beacon tower outside Barkol City is still standing there. Every time I pass by, I will think about it and be moved by the soldiers who sacrificed here.
The second time I was touched by "Mulan" was when Dad Hua (like Huahu...) accepted the military post. As the poem said, "The twelve books of the military books have the name of the master". Old Mr. Huahu is not a civilian. He is probably an old general who has made military exploits and suffered public injuries, and is now retiring at home. Therefore, even though his leg was disabled, he still threw away his crutches, limped and accepted the call-up, ready to contribute to the country like a man.
For the third time, when Mulan changed her outfit, she cut off her hair and pierced her armor with the heart-warming drums. She illuminated her handsome face from the sword, mounted her horse, and whizzed out. How can I not be moved when a woman can have such boldness and pride in such a critical moment, such a bleak rainy night?
The fourth touch was that Mulan was in the barracks, through a night of hard work, cleverly gritted his teeth and crawled on the flagpole. Because she was a daughter, she couldn't keep up with the team during training, and was almost "persuaded to retire" by Li Xiang, the school lieutenant. But she refused to admit defeat and used clever tricks to climb the flagpole bit by bit. Finally, under the sunshine of the morning sun, and encouraged by the comrades who had hated each other, she climbed to the top and took off the set of Li Xiang for all the soldiers. The first difficulty-the arrow he shot up. She proved herself with her cleverness and hard work, and also proved them these recruits.
The fifth and final touch was when Mulan wiped out Shan Yu, and when the emperor bowed to her, the people all over the city bowed down. In ancient society, it was impossible for a commoner woman to receive such courtesy. The idea of discriminating against women is widespread all over the world, and even many women's events in the Olympic Games were added after the 1980s. In addition, the suffering of Mulan in the animation is far less than that of Mulan in the poem. Mulan in the poem is "the hero returns for ten years", even if it is not ten years, it will be several years. I firmly believe that Mulan’s story is real in history, so I am even more moved by that great woman more than 1,000 years ago.
After I'm moved, let's talk about feelings. An American-made Chinese story film touched me five times, and I will continue to be touched every time I watch it again. It must be said that it is a successful interpretation of Chinese culture by Hollywood. Maybe foreigners and I have different experiences, thoughts, and personalities, so I can't experience so much moving. But maybe, maybe some of the content we're used to is more touching to them.
It's a pity that these Hollywood directors and screenwriters who use Chinese culture are not so happy to study. Most of them just use Chinese fur, such as martial arts, five elements, opera, dragon totem and so on. Hollywood Chinese films that really touched me no longer have been since "Mulan".
