The two characters are in strong contrast. Cassidy clearly realizes that the inside and outside of the scene are two worlds: on the stage she plays a stripper, and off the stage she is Pam, a mother. But Randy's involvement in the drama was so deep that he couldn't find his real self at all. This deadly wrestling ring was actually the only place he could survive. He is a failed father, no family, no friends outside the wrestling circle (except for the kid who played video games with him, but they still play wrestling games together), when he looked at the audience in the audience and said: You are my family, I think he is sincere.
Randy is a completely tragic hero. In order to pursue a dream, he lost everything and forgot himself. Such a persistent and heroic life is not enviable, but it is noble and tearful.
