A few veteran sunset parties, Reivew on RED

Only after sitting on Cathay Pacific did I know how bad Air China is. Not to mention food and drink. Although Cathay Pacific’s on-demand movies are not particularly rich, at least there are choices and a variety of categories. "Red Flame Battlefield", the Hong Kong translation is "hot". The reason why this movie with no new meaning attracts my attention is that among the four big-name protagonists, I like John Malkovich and Helen Mirren very much. I also like Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis.

Neither Chinese translation reveals the meaning of the English title "RED", that is, "Retired, Extremely Dangerous". It's not easy for these big names in their twilight years to star in an action movie, not to mention that the three other than Bruce Willis are not action stars. So "Red Flame Battlefield" made a fuss about the details and the bridge, using the temperament of several acting schools to come up with the cynical comedy style of the film, which can be said to be a very clever way. For example, the ridiculous military uniform of the calm African dictator Morgan Freeman, the inseparable Porco Rosso by the neurotic John Malkovich, and so on. But other than that, "Red Flame Battlefield" did not bring me any surprises. We should regard this film as a sunset gathering of a few veterans. I deeply sigh that Hollywood seems to have no successor in temperament stars. I want Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren, not to be stupid in the twilight.
