Yesterday, I just finished watching "Night to Murder Night", and the plot of the film is vividly vivid. When the plot of "Red Dragon" officially began, I knew that I was watching a remake, and it was a remake that was similar to the original story. The film is consistent with the characters and characters' names and general plot. Since I know the plot, especially a crime mystery film like this one, how can I still watch it? The whole process of watching the film was very painful, and it made me very depressed. Moreover, I slept for nearly twenty minutes.
On the plot, the main difference between the film and "Night of the Night of Murder" is the end of the film. The original version is a gun battle in the killer's house. In this film, the killer designed a trap by himself, then went to the FBI's house to kill, and was shot dead at the FBI's house. In slightly different places, the film's role in Hannibal has increased, and it has also focused on shaping his character, making the image of this character much plumper than in "The Night of Murderer".
The "Tooth Fairy" in this film is somewhat different from the original. The "Tooth Fairy" in the original version is a tortured and psychologically distorted killer in his childhood. In this film, "Tooth Fairy" is not only tortured in childhood, he is also controlled by a painting, which is similar to a person with dual personality, a sickly lunatic killer.
Except for the difference I mentioned above, the other aspects are exactly the same as the original, except for a few details. The same story, the same theme, but the film is more complicated and darker. I have already written the idea of "Night to Kill the Night", so I won't repeat it again.
Comparing these two similarly similar films together, it is obvious that you can see the advantages and disadvantages of both sides.
The atmosphere of "Night to Murder Night" is absolutely top-notch. The selection of music, the use of lenses, and the angle of view are more than a hundred times stronger than the film. The performance of the actors in "Red Dragon" is the highlight, especially Anthony Hopkins, who perfectly performed Hannibal's elegant, mysterious and evil character. Ralph Fiennes, the actor of "Tooth Fairy", is also much colder than the bad old man in the original version. He is completely a cold-blooded killer, but he looks too handsome. The FBI agent played by Edward Norton is no different from the original. It seems that this role is not very pleased, and there is no room to play. Everyone plays the same role. The supporting roles in "Red Dragon" are also very brilliant, such as Philip Seymour Hoffman and Harvey Keitel, all of which perform better than the actors in the original version.
It can be seen that the director of the original version is good, and the actors of the remake version are good. This is the biggest difference between the two films. From this point of view, the director of the film, Brett Ratner, has an average level of guidance. A very good story was made into a very ordinary American crime film. It's a pity that many big-name stars.
If the advantages of the two films are combined, it is definitely a perfect film. The director is Michael Mann, and the actors are Anthony Hopkins, Ralph Fiennes, Edward Norton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, etc. It's definitely a luxurious lineup. Such a "red dragon" looks just enjoyable and beautiful. Unfortunately, this is just my idea.
After comparing the two films, I think that if you want to really appreciate the story and appreciate the complete "Hannibal" series, then don't watch this film, and just watch "Night to Kill." The method it uses makes it easier for people to understand the story. From the perspective of the story as a whole, the film is not very viewable and relatively mediocre.
