The Book,The Faith

Although many bean friends feel far-fetched, I personally think this is a good film, not only because of Denzel, although I watched it entirely for him.
Real belief is equality, tolerance, and freedom. What attracts people is always resonance, not far-fetched preaching and promises. This is what we always say to convince people with morality~
Just like for this film, some people can dig out the details with deathly face, and some people will have a little inexplicable emotion at the end.
We are growing up in a land of atheism, we reject the gods condensed by the illusory beliefs in the Western world, and we pursue the "gods" described by concretism in the hot land of the East.
I have also been puzzled, and have become more and more suspicious, only because of the more unjustified doctrine. Fortunately, when I grew up in the spring breeze under the red banner, I began to realize the true faith before I stood. It is not the on-demand distribution of the bearded duo who came out of the western hell, because what they really want to express may be that we have never really seen it. , There are so many deductive elements that I suspect that only that name is true, or that the simple book title is the most distorted translation.
After more than two thousand years, the only difference between Bible is the version, and our D chapter has not changed, only it keeps pace with the times. I agree to move at the right time, and I am not opposed to innovation. But I always believe that the existence of human beings is universal, and there is no difference due to region, race, time and space. Only this unchanging, the longer the new ideas become beliefs, the ideas that can guide us throughout our lives.
Humorously compare it to the black boy's mutual sutras, and I will smile knowingly. I believe people who can have such humor must also approve of the message conveyed by this film.
Even for films that we consider to be the main theme of the West, their distribution channels are the most common commercial films, without policy support and distribution care. Fraternity can tolerate all things in the world, and I believe it will eventually be converted. This is also a kind of confidence, confidence in oneself. If you lose faith in yourself, how can you ask others to believe it? If it is imposed, I think it is not an exaggeration to call it a cult, at least it is nasty and dirty.
The Bible, the earliest printed and most widely disseminated book in human history. Its importance is not limited to its use as a carrier of religious inheritance. I think that the breadth of history and culture, region and culture is enough to make them special respect.
I don't believe in God, but I agree with many ideas in different doctrines. Presumably the so-called gods in various religions are intangible, omnipotent, and omnipresent, and can also be understood as gods, in fact, that belief. Uniform and universal values, and this is what we are missing.
Respect can understand, and recognition can resonate.
Our sense of crisis will not always be manifested in the form of a peaceful evolution of our self-defeating heart; our noble sense of responsibility to rescue the suffering and toiling people of all mankind will not receive so many contradictory feedbacks.
Can advancing with the times allow us to finally understand the meaning of reaching the same destination by different routes? If not, I can only understand it as: Those who shout that all roads lead to Rome are actually pretending to be Amsterdam or Las Vegas in their hearts. It is not your feet that leaked your eyes, but your mouth betrayed your heart.

The Book of Eli quotes

  • Eli: They say the war tore a hole in the sky, you've probably heard the stories.

    Solara: Yeah.

Eli: The war tore a hole in the sky, the sun came down, burnt everything, everyone, I wandered, I didn't really know what I should do or where I was going. I was just moving from place to place, trying to stay alive. And then one day I heard this voice. I don't know how to explain it, it's like it was coming from inside me. But I could hear it clear as day. Clear as I can hear you talking to me now. It told me to carry the book west, it told me that a path would be laid out before me, that I'd be led to a place where the book would be safe. It told me I'd be protected, against anyone or anything that tried to stand in my way. If only I would have faith. That was thirty years ago and I've been walking ever since.

Solara: And you did all this because a voice told you to?

Eli: I know what I hear, I know what I heard, I know I'm not crazy, I didn't imagine it

  • Hoyt: [seeing two dead hijackers] It's like he's protected somehow. Like there's nothing that can touch him

Carnegie: Oh, he's just a fucking man. You put a bullet in him, he'll go down like any other.
