Let the madness come harder

For the pitiful extra credit, I tried very hard to finish watching this film.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas sounds decadent enough to hear this name.
It was a failure. I didn't understand how this movie is related to the American Dream discussed in our class.
A movie full of alcohol and drugs. The two men drove frantically all the way to Las Vegas, drinking, knocking drugs, and going crazy, not sober for a moment. When watching a movie, I was thinking that if people live to this point, they can be considered a realm. There is no goal, no plan, and no fear. I never know if I am living in reality or in hallucinations, taking a lot of drugs, then being delirious, talking nonsense, the world is distorted, and everything is fictitious. Vague happiness and fear, anger and sadness, madness and sluggishness. In the end, I returned to reality and found myself still so empty and confused.

I checked the information on the Internet just now and found out that the bald man wearing weird and funny buff glasses is Johnny Depp. Oops

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas quotes

  • Raoul Duke: There was only one road back to L.A. - U.S. Interstate 15. Just a flat-out high speed burn through Baker and Barstow and Berdoo. Then onto the Hollywood Freeway, and straight on into frantic oblivion. Safety. Obscurity. Just another freak, in the freak kingdom.

  • Clerk at Flamingo Hotel: Can I call you a cab?

Police Chief: [screaming] Sure, and I'll call you a cocksucker!
