Horror comes from uncertainty

When I watched this film back then, I was still very scared. It is not how horrible the picture itself is, but two uncertainties:
1. According to the usual thinking, it is safe to suspect someone as a murderer a long time ago. But it was too early to be suspected by the heroine, and another murderer was active at the same time, so it was uncertain. However, after the plot developed, he still doubted this person, but was uncertain.
2. It is uncertain when and where the murderer will take the shot. Because it is the so-called unmotivated killing (of course, there is a very clichéd motive), and because the murderer is super confident, there is no way to predict when this mask with scissors in hand will appear. He never seemed to worry that he would be discovered or missed. This is more obvious in the next few parts.

The rare thing is that the second part is also pretty good, and then it's a little worse

Compared with the plot, it makes more sense to add an interesting mask to the history of human ghost masks.

There are too many mysteries in the front, and I can't explain it later. . .

Scream quotes

  • Randy: There's always some stupid bullshit reason to kill your girlfriend. That's the beauty of it all! Simplicity! Besides, if it gets too complicated, you lose your target audience.

  • Principal Himbry: You make me so sick. Your entire havoc-inducing, thieving, whoring generation disgusts me.
