The plot is mostly Werther-related: the
captain fills the raft home with dead crew members; Werther uses the deaths of his companions to help him accomplish his goals.
The captain was worried about his hometown at first, but later believed that his hometown had been destroyed, and finally lost his mind and killed innocent people by mistake, only to find that the black ship did not intend to loot his hometown at all; Werther sacrificed thousands of lives to save the twisted world, but if he did not force him Go Manhattan, and perhaps the nuclear crisis will not intensify at all.
Rorschach related:
The captain wanted to protect his hometown from pirates, but he killed his relatives by mistake, which was feared by people, but he was actually a victim; Rorschach sought the truth, but was framed and imprisoned, and in the eyes of people he became a prisoner with other prisoners same terrorist.
Manhattan-related:
The captain abandons himself and joins the black ship after killing his family by mistake; Manhattan thinks he is the source of cancer and self-exiles to Mars.
