I wrote this review because I remembered its ending, the French were rescued, and Kudao died gracefully. Only this brevity can be remembered. The laborer sculptures and Stalin-style buildings in the film can be seen in my hometown. The visual memory made me comfortable, strangely, even after learning all the bad things about the Soviet Union. At that time, the whole world knew that the Soviet Union was going to collapse, some people were nostalgic and maintained it, some people pushed and hoped to destroy it, some people and others, they all had their own intentions, it was human nature. Still Director Ku, I was surprised he was in this movie, he stole all the limelight. His role is that of a patriot. He does not sell information to survive in the future. He despises his colleagues who have fled from the motherland, but he has died well. He admits that he is a traitor. He's very good at acting, especially when it comes to his sophistication with women and his resourcefulness in dealing with the French engineer. Also, the pursed mouth when opening the bottle cap, the helpless regret after falling over my son. Needless to say, he made me see a different Russian. The disintegration of Soviet rule is not a matter of individual people, there is a future that can be foreseen, for them, for me as a moviegoer, it is very happy to think about it. I hope. The film explains a lot of details with a sense of reality. It is very real. It does not promote anything, only real people.
