The illusion of escape from the world

When you hear a title like "Boychoir," you'll guess the type of chicken soup that's inspirational and refreshing. The autistic genius child, the broken family, the brutal strict teacher, the madman's hard training, the last blockbuster only shocked the four. Etc., etc. Yes, this movie is such a cliché, with every expected plot, but it's such a cliché that made me watch it without going to sleep last night.

In fact, this is a movie that exists because of music. The movie itself is nothing to criticize, but the music really hits the heart. For children's chorus, choir-type chorus, this film gives a pure and beautiful interpretation. The clear singing with a religious atmosphere, floating in front of the stained glass windows of the church, does give people an illusion of being out of the world. When the child sings that high D in the Hallelujah song, it is really a kind of spiritual cleansing.

I like the mentor created by Dustin Hoffman, as well as his line: "What we want to give them is not a career, but a life." A teacher, but that's it.

Of course, I also like this beautiful little Zhengtai. Half of the temperament of the movie is his temperament. How can this kid grow so clean? (Recommended by Samsung)

Boychoir quotes

  • Master Carvelle: This is a community of people feeling the same thing. Most of them, strangers. But you are uniting them. You are giving them your voice. And that's as spiritual as it gets.

  • Stet: I hate Handel.

Master Carvelle: Handel hated singers too.
