A film about Danton and Robespierre, a historical topic that even today's French can argue about. It was actually shot by a Polish director, which shows the pride and talent of Andrzej Wajda.
Dandong loves money, food, and beauty, but he loves democracy and freedom more. Robespierre lives a simple life, and his private life is absolutely beyond reproach. But he was obsessed with power to an unstoppable level. In the end, like all dictators in the world, he obsessively believed that "my will is the will of the people, and my ideal is the ideal of the people." Needless to say, such a power This person can't tolerate someone like Dandong, although they were once close as brothers.
The above is my opinion of Danton and Robespierre, (of course, based on the description of them in this movie).
