always follow your heart

The more movies we watch in Europe and America, the more strongly we can feel the cultural differences between us.
They are brave enough, we are too cowardly.
But I think this bravery is not so easy to come by.
Carrying too much, playing too many roles, just forget about yourself. Forget what your heart wants.
Recently, my friends often complain to me, so I go to them and say "always follow your heart", and they will say that I am an idealistic person, and I do not agree. They're just not brave enough to take the risk to follow their heart because it's a big, big risk.
Just like Camille, if she did not choose Patricia, but married and continued to be a theology teacher, I think she should never forget Patricia, and she will always regret it in her heart.
She even wanted to give up her life. She gave up the man, gave up her job, gave up everything, and followed Patricia. In fact, she just followed her own heart. Maybe in the end, they are not together, but, I believe, she will not regret it.

Life is only once, sometimes it's long, sometimes it's short.
Follow your own heart.

When Night Is Falling quotes

  • [Timothy is trying to repair a fusebox after a blackout at the circus]

Timothy: Don't worry, honey, I'm getting it fixed.

Tory: Don't worry, honey - isn't that what you said just before the tent went up in flames?

Timothy: One small fire and I'm responsible every time some little problem... Just keep your HAIR on your HEAD.

  • Camille: Well, don't people like you just have friends, sometimes?

Petra: Yes, 'people like me' do.

Camille: And, why couldn't I be one?

Petra: I'm attracted to you, Camille.

Camille: It's ok, it's ok. We're not animals, we don't always have to act on our attractions.

Petra: What would we do, as friends?

    Camille: Have fun.

Petra: Fun - sounds like a buddy movie.

Camille: Yes, exactly. Like Thelma and Louise. But... without the guns.

Petra: Oh, well, no guns, I don't know...
