Repression is art?

I don't know if it's the beginning, but it wasn't until the last few minutes that I realized that this movie uses flashbacks and tells the story of a little boy who only talks to his dad and loses his dad.

The director gave the whole film to nature and a child who doesn't talk much. There is not much dialogue, and the only soundtrack is the sound of rain that seems to never stop. A large number of long shots, countless backs, joys and sorrows unfold in silence, if only a few tender shots can barely be called joy. Obviously, the director disdains to use joy to set off the grief of loss, and resolutely implements the repression from the beginning to the end. If you like this style, you will feel that the Golden Bear is well-deserved. On the contrary, this movie is torture for you.
