After this season I feel like I totally understand chuck. The descriptions of Jimmy's gangsters in the first two seasons felt innocuous, leading to incomprehensible Chuck's hatred of Jimmy. Chuck fight for his own life, not good at interpersonal relationships, makes him jealous of his younger brother who is ignorant but good at interpersonal relationships.
