"Memoirs of a Ghost Trick" also does a good job of this, and that's one of the reasons why I especially like it. The male protagonist represents the United States, Xiao Tao represents Japan, and the ghost trick represents Japan's jealousy and revenge against the United States, because director Takashi Miike is very concerned about this kind of content.
