Writing articles on Saturday is really bad, my brain is in a state of "rest", and there is no "thought" at all, so I can only write where it is, forget it...

American movie "Desert Island Sweetheart"

Genre: Thriller, Fantasy

Main Cast: Kiersey Clemons

Story Overview: Black Pearl Wilderness Survival (Fashion Dress Up)

Release Date: In the US on January 29, 2019

List of award-winning works:

This work, I really can't compliment it, the opening feels like Tom Hanks' "Remaining Island", the middle part is like the reality show "The Wilderness", and the end is "The Shape of Water". The funniest thing is that although the protagonist Jenn is in the A deserted island, but changing clothes every day (even worse than the Victoria's Secret catwalk), which is a "desert island"? It's the "Gold Coast".

Enter the brief review.

1. The focus of the film is not on the "story", but on the "person"

how do I say this?

First of all, the content of this film is quite boring, desert island + survival, that's all.

Secondly, the theme of this film is nothing new. I got a fish man. I don't know what the intention is? Mermaid love? Create horror? Alluding to "race"? I feel like my intelligence is not enough.

Finally, Kiersey Clemons, the new-generation sexy goddess and black pearl, let this lovely person play the role. The director's intention is self-evident. What acting skills are you talking about?

2. The focus of the plot is not "survival", but "death"

How to understand?

First of all, on a deserted island, Jenn's range of activities is always within the attack range of the murlocs. What kind of trickery is this?

Secondly, the duo (Lucas+Mia) then landed on the shore. They were unwilling to leave the island early, and even more unwilling to believe what Jenn had seen and heard.

In the end, such a fierce murloc was no match for "American Sweetheart" and was "torn by hand" by the latter. The author wondered, since Jenn has such ability, why is it necessary to do this and try to escape the island, it is better to directly KO the opponent, and even more To save trouble. Brain show funny?

3. The intention of the work is not to "release", but to "self-appreciate"

How to interpret it?

First, the scenery of this work (island style + Kiersey Clemons figure show) is far more real, exciting and coveted than the content of the story. Typical landscape film characteristics, self-appreciation level.

Second, the pattern of this work, the black heroine escapes strongly; the white male and female supporting characters succeed in perverted death; the murlocs are weak in front of the female protagonist. Such a setting, apart from thinking of "the rise of black people" (isn't the director a black person?), what else can be explained?

end.

Screenwriter ★☆☆☆☆ (narcissism, too much narcissism)

Director★☆☆☆☆

Actor ★★★☆☆ (Island dressing show, good looks and figure)

Plot ☆☆☆☆

Visual effects ★★★☆☆ (scenery and beauties are OK, but unfortunately the lens language is not particular)

Sound ★☆☆☆☆ (there is no added value, the soundtrack is redundant)

Sweetheart quotes

  • [last lines]

Jenn: [leaving a note] For a lot of my life, I've struggled with being believed. The truth doesn't always come with a receipt. Sometimes all we have is our word.

Jenn: There's no way for me to show you the things that I can tell you. That there's a monster here taller than any man I've ever seen, twice as fast in water as it is on land, and it bleeds black blood. For a week I've run from it and hid from it, but not anymore. If you find this note, what's left of my body will either be on this island, or deep in a hole off the west shore. I hope this letter is enough for you to believe my story.
