Aki and Jia Ye, the same and different cool

I really liked this film, it reminded me of seeing Kusturica's "Balkan Punk" before, the crusades of happy and sad Slavic musicians. In these films, the music becomes something very pure, straight to the heart.

In Akey's film, you can see American director Jim Jarmusch, in which Mr. Jia guest-starred as a used car seller. These two are my very favorite people.

They both love rock, which explains why they're so cool. They put rock music or good music in an important position in the film, not just a foil and rendering, but a clue or a finishing touch. For example, Jia Ye's "Mystery Train" uses old Elvis songs played on midnight radio as clues throughout the three paragraphs. In Aki's "Leningrad Cowboys Go to America", the group of people with exaggerated airplane heads and pointed shoes Leningrad Cowboys perform earthy and moving songs across the United States.

Jia Ye never plays cards according to the rules of the cards. He has too many tricks and you can't guess which way he will play next. He must make all your viewing expectations fail. It will be frustrating for you to play tricks with him, because he wanders around and his eyes are erratic and you can't touch the corners of his clothes. He likes to divide the movie into several paragraphs, at least three paragraphs, and there are too many to count. The most exaggerated is "Coffee and Cigarettes". Sometimes there are not many lines, and sometimes there are too many lines to change words, and some lines do not lead the development of the plot, and the pondering is also a blind pondering.
As for Aji, it is a set of Shaolin Arhat Boxing forever. No matter what tricks other people make, he will fight with you like a stinky and hard rock to the end. It is clumsy, cold and romantic. Remedy. You will still be very frustrated with him. His films are always so succinct, with very short duration, few characters and fewer lines, but the words are precious but meaningful.

Despite so many differences, I classify them as "cool guides" because they never try to please the audience.

In Jia Ye's "Earth Night", you can see the figure of "Akey", I mean "Akey's film".
"Earth Night" tells the story of people who drive taxis at night in five cities on Earth. The last story, located in Helsinki, the characters are all blue-collar, unemployed and devastated men, the warmth and misfortune of the family, plus Aki's royal male protagonist, just like Aki's film. But in the end, the two buddies of the unemployed got out of the car, and no one paid the fare and no one picked up the drunk unemployed. When the audience worried about whether he would have no money to pay the fare or not, he simply paid the bill and got off the bus. It was just dawn, and he sat alone on the icy snow with his knees in his arms, waiting helplessly for the sun to rise. This ending clearly brings Jia Ye's coolness.
