"This film won the European Film Icon Award and the Catholic Humanitarian Spirit Award at the Berlin Film Festival in 2009."
Well, finally, a good film has been recognized and valued by everyone. Although the content of the film is not so exciting, it is bland, and the things of the common people. But such a thought-provoking movie is the best movie I've seen in a while!
The greatest feeling: the distance between people, the distance between hearts and hearts.
The distance between people can be very close or very far.
Just like the couple of Bilal, separated by thousands of mountains and rivers, all efforts are to shorten the distance between people; or Simon and his wife, standing face to face, so close, but parted ways.
The distance between the heart and the heart can be very close or very far.
Just like the couple of Bilal, even if they are separated by thousands of mountains and rivers, they can walk more than 4,000 kilometers to the beach and swim in the icy water for 10 hours, just to shorten the distance between people; or Simon and his Wife, separated by a block, can often see each other, but he does not have the courage to ask his other half to stay, the distance between hearts is always so far, although they are so close.
The title is particularly appropriate. I don't like the Chinese translation of "Illegal Immigration", but prefer the English name "Welcome". From the beginning to the end, the most obvious is Simon staring at the neighbor's carpet with "Welcome" clearly written, but it is only a symbol.
The ending - death.
Perhaps only death is the most perfect ending, and only in this way can this movie be more real and perfect!
Welcome, a good movie I haven't seen in a long time!
