Eres mas guapo cada vez que te veo.

For the purpose of learning Spanish, I was educated by this Chilean Spanish documentary. I thought I would be impatient with documentaries, and it was an elderly subject. Unexpectedly, I didn't turn on the double speed, and I read it with all my heart. What I feel is not shock, and there is no special plot to catch the horse. It is the sadness of the feeling of powerlessness, and the reflection on reality.

The plot is relatively simple. The 80+ old man was hired to live in a nursing home in microservices to investigate and collect physical evidence of the loss of the client's mother. The subject matter sounds very tense, but because everything is running at 0.5X speed in the nursing home, the atmosphere is very different from the real world outside; the statues of the Virgin and Jesus that appear from time to time are also beating our hearts at the right time. The characterization was very successful, and the humble Uncle Sai took me an hour and a half to convince me that he is the hero, kind, honest and patient.

When you see the end, you are not in the mood to be consequential at all. Did you complete the task in the end? that's not important. It is very sad that we occupy the main resources of society and demand solid proof as a master, but have no time to listen to the opinions of the elderly. Speaking of the movie, in the final ending, Uncle Sergio's brief and powerful report (complaint): The client only knew that he suspected that the nursing home did not take good care of her mother, but never visited her in person.

Going back to learning Spanish, I felt the language's strengths in expressing emotions. In the past, I always felt so long-winded. One idiom and four words could explain things clearly, and the Spaniards had to talk for a long time with a cup of coffee. Through this film to improve, who said that efficiency has to be the best? We should stop every now and then, chat with friends and family, and express our feelings unbridled.

The Mole Agent quotes

  • Sergio Chamy: Forgive me, but I'm a person too. I'm a person and I respect you, so you should too.

  • Petita: If your mother is still alive, thank the Lord who loves you so much, for not every mortal can boast such big joy or holy pleasure. If your mother is still alive, be good because she who carried you one day continued to suffer and rejoice. She kept watch by night and worked by day. A song from her lips lulled you to sleep. And upon waking, her lips kissed you. But if she's gone to heaven, and you can no longer make her happy on Earth, lay memories of your flowers on the cold ground that covers her. A mother's grave is such a holy place, that there's no holier place to one's heart. When your soul is pierced by a cruel thorn, go there to cry your sad tears.
