"The Mole Agent" is translated as "Master Detective Race", this documentary tells the story of 84-year-old Sergio, who got a job in a hidden nursing home and exposed his evil deeds. But during the three months in the nursing home, Sergio did not find the so-called evil in the industry, and he found that the biggest "bad" may be abandonment and loneliness.
Sergio is not so much an industry detective as he is a life detective, and probably the most he does in nursing homes is chatting with all kinds of people. Some people read poems to him, some people confess to him, some people talk nonsense to him, and some people discuss life with him.
Sergio feels like he doesn't have too many strong characters and opinions, giving a lot of room for people to talk. In addition to facing the confession, he firmly stated that he is still in a period of mourning.
I have always been curious about what topics people are keen to discuss when they are older, whether they will gather together and whisper about who they want to be with, or whether they will sit and discuss their own lives. Will they be as concerned as I am with the person sitting across from me and whether I am a fellow traveler.
After watching this documentary and watching so many small pieces of communication between the elderly, I found that, in fact, at this age, it is very good to be able to establish a back and forth connection with people. Those who are completely different from me are also Just looking for someone to talk to.
