A Brief Comment on the Animated Version of "Killing City"

I've seen the live-action movie a long time ago, but I'm really disappointed when I go back and watch the animated version.
As an animation work in 2004, the picture is relatively rough and understandable, the later plot is different from the comics, and the original ending is also understandable (after all, the comics serialization did not end until the end of 2013).

Looking at the plot, the failure is obvious:
1. The characters are not very good-looking, their expressions are dull, their faces are often expressionless, and their actions are slow, making them look like idiots, and their performances are not as delicate as comics, and there is no sense of substitution.
2. The rhythm is very protracted, very grinding, and it consumes people's patience. The 26 episodes are basically dragged out, and it is estimated that two hours will be enough for a theatrical version.
3. Too many psychological descriptions are too mentally handicapped. During the fight, there is a lot of nonsense. Without the enthusiasm of the original work, the audience not only does not feel nervous, but it is easy to feel grumpy or even collapse.
4. The first male, the second male and the female protagonist had to hesitate for a long time when they were about to shoot for the first time, but could not fire a gun in life or death. This hesitant plot setting matched the protracted rhythm of the animation, which was very popular. .

However, there are still remarkable things.
1. There are many psychological and language descriptions, and relatively more descriptions of human nature, which are closer to comics and more delicate than movies.
2. The scenes of casualties such as decapitation and human body explosion are more intuitive and bloody, as well as adult scenes such as exposing big breasts. These large-scale pictures are rarely seen in movies and other hot-blooded anime, and are very bold.
3. In some battle scenes, the scene in the area will be displayed through the lens shift, which is relatively novel and interesting.

All in all, it's a comic book classic. The film adaptation is relatively large, but the rhythm is tight and the battle is fierce, which can also be regarded as a certain essence of the comics. And this animation, just look at it, can't say it's rubbish, but it really can't be compared with the comics.
I wonder if the manga author will vomit blood when he sees this animation.
