I saw this story in the book and thought it was very interesting, so I went to the movie to watch it. As said in the movie, this is a movie based on a real case.
This is a story about multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder). There has always been a keen interest in this mysterious disease. Think about it: one person is three completely different people at the same time! How can this not be attractive?
We all dream of being a different person, living a different life and having a richer life experience, and eve did it so easily! (albeit in a reluctant, tortured way)
There's not much to say about the movie itself, it's the kind of feeling that is unique to old movies: black and white tones, similar performances, and a soundtrack with a sense of age. The overall feeling is that it's a decent movie (or rather unremarkable).
But the movie has a wonderful story. The story itself is very good, and it can be regarded as the best kind of story. No matter how you shoot it, it will look good, as long as you choose the right heroine. This is a film driven by the plot and the heroine, most importantly, the heroine eve.
Eve has three completely different personalities. White Eva is a gentle and submissive wife, obedient to her husband and loving her children. Beautiful, neat, conservative, giving people a feeling of weakness, is our traditional sense of wife and mother.
Black Eva is quite different, she is very lively and bold, sociable, flirtatious, sometimes very flirtatious, always thinking about dancing and singing. She also likes to drink, and dancing in the ballroom is an essential part of her life. She is allergic to nylon. Black Eva knows all about White Eva, but White Eva knows nothing about Black Eva.
The last personality to emerge was Jane, who emerged during the course of therapy. This is a more attractive personality: Jane is mature, humorous, smart and generous, and is the most likeable and most capable personality. She has an amazing memory. Jane knows about White Eva and Black Eva, but the two of them don't know about Jane's existence.
In the final treatment, the three personalities were unified. The filming of this process was so good that I almost had tears in my eyes. In the end, watching the white Eva and the black Eva "die", and only Jane survived in the end, a feeling suddenly flooded into my heart: I am happy that Eva finally got rid of this torment of split personality, and I am happy for the happy ending of this story.
