Although I'm still out of date

I bought an issue of VOGUE, the year-end edition, and I saw the desk calendar that came with it. I turned a few pages and found out whether it was an advertisement or an advertisement. For the first time, I know that the most important thing is the September issue.

Through "The Devil Wears Prada", I know that the editor-in-chief of VOGUE in the United States is a person who makes his subordinates very crazy, then through "September", we find that she is actually a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder who strives for excellence, and is somewhat autocratic. "September" tells a good story about how the magazine was prepared, how the models were filming, how inspiration emerged and so on. After reading it, I have the urge to find an opportunity to buy an American version of VOGUE.

But at the end of the day, fashion and luxury are far from me.

In the film, Anna's daughter, who wants to work in law, says that "there are a lot of weirdos in the fashion world." Well, actually I have the same opinion.

Looking at the photos of some street photographers, some are color matching, clothes matching, and head shape matching that you can't even think about and think you can't wear them out. And the so-called "tide" that I understand means the head is damp... The avant-garde and alternative does not mean beauty, there are many ways to catch people's attention, and the abstract way is directly transferred to real life... Sure enough, I still can't accept it.

My aesthetic is still in the 1990s and maybe even earlier, I don't like snow boots, I don't like fringed boots, I don't like boots wrapped in fur, I don't like fish shoes, I don't like Roman shoes, I don't like boots I like bags with metal chains, I don't like clothes with wrong colors, I don't like strange contrasting colors, I don't like exaggerated headwear, I don't like black silk... Even if I'm about to graduate, I like to wear jeans and a T-shirt. My father likes it. The shrugged denim jacket is awkward to wear. I'm really out of date.

Of course, this does not mean that beauty is not pursued. I really hope that I can match clothes, be sensitive to colors, discover beauty, compose pictures, have new perspectives, have temperament, and have aura. Will it even improve if you want to study art on a whim?

There seems to be a lot to say before writing, but in the end, I am still short of words or even beside the point.

Another: Anna's 21-year-old photo broke me in seconds.

The September Issue quotes

  • Grace Coddington: I can't shoot everything for the rest of my life with Steven Meisel in Alder Mansion, which is an ugly fucking house.

  • Tom Florio: [about Anna Wintour] I don't find her to be hidden. I just don't find her to be accessible to people she doesn't need to be accessible to. She's busy, you know. And she's not warm and friendly, she's doing her business. We leave warm to me. I'll have to be warm enough for the two of us.
