First of all I have to say that I think the last scene is a bit superfluous. It would have been a little more perfect if the story stayed without the last scene. The director seems to want to use this reversal and reversal to leave an open ending. But I think that blindly pursuing the so-called reversal and reversal will lose the story itself.

If we start the analysis from the end of the movie, we can assume that most of the plot is Kim (Male 1)'s own fantasy.

My focus was when Ann (the police captain) said that the murderer from seventeen years ago was finally found. From the perspective of the timeline, it is unlikely that Min (the second male) is the murderer, so the only thing that can be pointed to is Jin. If we assume that Min is the murderer who can kill a girl and has such a detailed layout, he is at least twenty years old. That is, at least Min De is 37 years old. As far as the overall plot is concerned, I don't think it's possible.

Ann kept calling him Big Brother Jin, implying that Jin might have worked in the police force before and was not in a low position, and should be the captain or something, so these cases could not be solved.

Then there is the issue of Min and Kim. My thinking is that Kim should be the one who killed his father, but was beaten in the head by his mother with sports, and his sister hanged herself. And Min was supposed to be just a regular cop, but the one who hit Kim's car and found the body. So he started tracking down the killer but he was killed by Kim himself. Otherwise the police officer wouldn't ask him why he killed Min in the end. We imagine that if the murderer is Min, then Eun-hee has absolutely no reason not to tell the prosecutor. It is because Eun-hee is the one who knows the whole thing, so Eun-hee decides not to cooperate with the prosecutor to identify his father when he hears the tape recorder left by his father. .

So back to that old house, it should be Jin who killed An and Min. And the whole fight is biased towards his own struggle with fantasy reality.

In the last scene, he hopes to end himself, because if his daughter comes to visit him, it will give him constant hope of wanting to live. And he didn't want to hurt his daughter again, so he planned to commit suicide.

The only problem is the recording pen. The recording pen, as the solid line of the whole plot, should not add the fantasy of the male protagonist. In the end, the supervisor returned the intact recorder to Enxi, indicating that they had finished investigating the recorder but still chose to ask Jin why he killed Min, and that the recorder contained no sentences about Min's conviction. It also further shows that Min is not the real murderer, the real murderer is Jin himself. This is also what I think is unreasonable. Ann rushed to the old house after hearing the contents of the recorder, which led to her being killed. If explained according to the plot, Ann heard another word, knew the location of Enxi and rushed to rescue and was killed. And what we see can only be the fantasy of the hero Kim himself.

In the end, it is unknown whether the male protagonist succeeded in committing suicide. There's nothing wrong with the male lead's acting. One point will be deducted for the overly greasy reversal and reversal. Personal opinion is not to be taken lightly, and discussions are welcome.
