In 2008, the film's first film had a mediocre reputation, but it sold a good 14 million US dollars in France, and the overseas box office was only 3 million. The sequel is obviously the idea of the international market. The protagonist of the film, Largo Winch, is a rich second-generation who fights against transnational criminal forces. The sequel spans the tropical jungles of Thailand, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Belgium, Germany, southern France, and London, with an investment of $40 million. And invited Hollywood star Sharon Stone as the villain, and Alexander Desplat of "The King's Speech" and "Shadow Writer" was responsible for the soundtrack, but these failed to make the film much bigger than the first part. Reuters' comment was rather lukewarm: "The fact of being rich doesn't make Largo Winch a superhero".
