run away

I don’t usually write film reviews, because the starting point of all my writing is intuitive and perceptual understanding, and I can’t do enough rational analysis. Coupled with the lack of theoretical knowledge, it becomes an afterthought as soon as I write. Otherwise, I really thought about turning the 100 minutes I read on the screen into a deep and meaningful review to earn some royalties.

Without further ado, let's talk about the movie [Getaway] Anthony Zimmer that I saw yesterday. Of course, the film was downloaded from the ftp on campus. If I had the money, I would definitely go to the premiere in Beijing to watch Sophie Marceau's reality show. Once a friend asked me to define sexy, this problem is obviously beyond my ability, so I have to give an example, and the example is her. Friends say it shouldn't be Angelina Jolie? It's certainly convincing. If you don't believe me, go look at the covers of the many movie magazines, and I bet Angelina is the most photographed. But I choose, it must be Sophie, because her sexiness is natural and full of melancholy, which may be related to her big brown eyes; in contrast, the latter's main tone is wild, one of the representatives is the hot thick Lips, this caters to the mainstream but not so much for me.

The plot starts with a set of classic pictures: the door opens, Sophie's beautiful legs and red high heels, and the follow-up shots continue to the restaurant, and she just shows her face. From the few words of the express in her hand, we know that she is looking for someone, a man.
This man is Anthony Zimmer, with extraordinary talent, or criminal ability. He has been a money laundering expert for many years, but he has been on the loose. No one knows his true face, let alone caught him. In addition to being wanted by the police, he is also a thorn in the eyes of Russian gangsters, a former KGB spy who does everything possible to kill him. Of all the people trying to catch Anthony, Akalman, a customs police officer specializing in financial cases, has mastered Anthony's only weakness: his beautiful, little-known girlfriend Giara (Sophie).
Naturally, Giara was the only possible bait. On the train to find Anthony, she stumbles upon François, an interpreter who has just broken up with his wife. She was attracted by his similar temperament to that of Anthony, and immediately chose to spend the weekend with him at the hotel by the sea. Obviously, François unknowingly became Giara's cover. He thought he was favored by beautiful women, so he was naturally intoxicated.

But at this point, my neurotic insights began to ferment, and speculation continued. The suspicion that François was Antoine Zimmer at first peaked, especially when Giara gave him an expensive watch with his I believe that he just unfortunately looks too much like the target character, maybe this Anthony Zimmer doesn't exist at all, and was made up by some criminals hiding in the dark to hide people's eyes and ears, such as customs policeman Akalman, or even Giara . Such tactics are not uncommon, and the most purely used one is Usual Suspects, starring Kevin Spacey. In today's Hollywood-oriented European movies, this setting may not be a coincidence.
But it turned out that I was too sensitive, and the real manipulator, Anthony, was that innocent, almost real Francois. After he skillfully used the power of the customs police to get rid of the Russians who posed a threat to his life, he calmly handed over all the black money and chose to run away with his girlfriend who had been kept in the dark.

The storyline of the film is ups and downs, which greatly arouses the emotions of the audience, but the portrayal of the characters is a little less hot, such as François. While Akalman swears he has the only weakness in the other side, unfortunately, Anthony is everyone's weakness. For such a veteran criminal, there is too little personality information for the audience to extract, so that at the end of the film we still only know what he did but his heart is still closed.

Fortunately, these shortcomings can be masked by the charming scenery of France. When the high-speed train travels through the vast forest, the green is almost forgettable. I think of the scene when I watch the live broadcast of the Tour de France every year. The team travels from one small town to the next village, no matter how the roadside scenery changes, with a comfortable pastoral atmosphere. I was thinking that it would be enough to bring her here, even to escape.
