The hypocrisy of the middle class

This is obviously a love movie, but I saw another theme - the life and hypocrisy of the middle class, through contrast.
When Nora visits Rachel's house, Nora, as a working-class person, can't fit in with Max's middle-class friends. Although they tried to hide their surprise, they looked at her clothes and wondered at her work. At the dinner table, there was also a discussion about how to fight for the benefit of the working class. And Nora said the fact that you don't know the working class, you've never been hungry. The former is also a portrayal of me and some people around me.
According to Chinese vocabulary, there is no "middle class", and in fact, a large middle class has emerged. Affluence and Quality of Life Decades ago, we really didn't have a middle class. Not even in the 1980s, maybe not in the 90s. Parents of ordinary families, save food and clothing for their children to read, so that the children can have the ability to have a good life in the future. As I approach my 30th birthday, I now hope that through my own efforts, I can live the life I imagined. Of course, everyone is working hard for their own interests, and these are understandable. Interestingly, we believe in Marxism, and by accident, I entered the academic circle of the so-called "elite class". Our idols are well-dressed, rich-minded, and admired academic leaders. Female scholars often have an ideal image in their minds, wise, intellectual and beautiful. However, assuming that when we participate in the party where Nora is in, if a working class like Nora appears, will we really not be surprised? We have our own circle of middle-class friends, and we talk about how to speak for the "people" at academic conferences. The most ridiculous thing is that when we studied hard at the beginning, it was nothing more than to sharpen our heads and break away from ordinary "people". stratum.
This movie made me see through something, that is, whether there is a barrier in your heart. If it is really like the education we have received, the purpose of our efforts is to let everyone get rid of poverty, then in our hearts, we should let go of some things, and there should be no discrimination. If you carry out all efforts with a discriminating mind, just like some scholars, because of their status, power, and ability, they look down on ordinary scholars, and even more despise ordinary people, then the book will be read in vain.
What we have to grasp is the truth. If so, let the falsehood go. It is not our goal for everyone to suffer together in poverty. If we have the ability, we must plant truth and goodness in the hearts of ourselves and our children. When I saw the party scene, I suddenly understood Gandhi's "humble to zero". Our lives are always surrounded by various material conditions, but in our hearts, we must "humble to zero", because you are serving them after all.
At the end of the movie, they are together. But in reality, they may not be able to. Because although the class is not a real distance, the long-term life of different classes has created their different concepts and living habits. When they find the difference in thinking, that's the real obstacle to overcome. What I appreciate and admire is Nora's authenticity. This kind of truth is worthy of all the hypocritical lives of the middle class, and there is a great courage in it.
