I'm a fan who likes to discuss the so-called "movie theme" after watching a movie, but for this movie, it's the details and creativity that attract me more (because I can't find its theme [laughs]) , such as the sudden burst of suspects in the opening court scene (suddenly chanting "On a sunny day, we will meet eventually", threatening to taint the witness). For example, the Spanish guitar accompaniment that surrounds the entire film is "Rain as Rain". . .
I actually liked how it ended: the sheriff, played by Fernando Rey, asks the dying killer Braddock's real name, but no matter what name the sheriff pronounces, (everything he knows of Braddock's "old names" ). Braddock kept his mouth shut until he lost his mind.
What I'm curious to know at this moment is, at that point in time, did he decide to bring the secret about his true identity to the other world? Or has he forgotten who he is? !
