This is an old movie from 1951. At the end, alone in a room, the exquisite kimono sets off the loneliness and melancholy, and stops abruptly when the hand is left. Every time a lengthy plot is reached, the picture suddenly rushes, and only the words of one or more people talking will push the plot to a climax. The film touches something vaguely, catches something, but deliberately conceals it, so that the storyline of the specific development of the film maintains a proper distance from the audience.
