I've seen Rohmer's Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter Seasons Collection, Women Collectors, Dating in Paris, Afternoon Love, Mother and Child, Leo Constellation.
Generally speaking, Rohmer is a director who has a deep understanding of passion and can express it well, but his attitude towards passion is very intellectual. Unmanageable part of life.
Rohmer understands intellectuals best. He wants to get rid of the sensual life, but in the end he is controlled by the sensual life. In fact, probably the living people cannot get rid of the sensual life.
However, the attitude of intellectuals towards life is often not completely animalistic, and there is always a force that inhibits sensibility.
I like almost all of Rohmer's films, just appreciate his attitude to life. I felt that Rohmer was close to the reality of life, and Rohmer moved me and calmed me down.
