Event: Passchendaele Montreal Preview

When the film opened at the Toronto Film Festival, it seemed to receive mixed reviews. So I took the time to attend the premiere today, and I didn't have much hope. Arriving at the scene, it was too early, seeing the director (starring), the producer and the heroine all present, Imperial also had a small reception for people to enjoy for free. Not much interested in wine, I took a glass of lemon juice, and then quietly climbed up to the balcony, found the emperor in my mind, spread out a book of French movies, and fell asleep within a few minutes. When I woke up, it was already 5 minutes before the performance, and there was already a sea of people around.

Before the opening, the relevant leaders gave speeches, and the main staff greeted the audience. It was not obvious if they skipped it. Only Paul Gross's French was not very good. After stumbling over the speech, people naturally applauded politely.

Finally entered the feature film, saving the soldiers-style opening. The middle section shows the charming scenery of Canada and the budding love between the hero and heroine. At the end, it ends with the blood and tears of the hero and the immortality of true love. The routine of the Canadian theme film turned out to be so uneventful.

The directing and acting are not bad, there are not many surprises in the plot, but the English of a Quebec soldier in the film made the neighbors laugh, what else? The ending song is also a highlight.
