A profound film. I just read some of the film reviews, some said they didn't understand it, some said it was garbage, and some said they didn't understand why they didn't dare to come out. Personal opinion, don't spray if you don't like it: Personal feelings contain two reasons.
One: The volcano reported on the news in the film erupted three times in a row. It feels that the earth's ecological environment has been severely damaged, and the outside environment is not suitable for outdoor activities. People living in buildings lack food, lack water. When the two protagonists saw the rain, they were overjoyed to receive the rain. The family of three living in the protagonist's house also prayed for it, proving that the earth's climate is harsh and rain is scarce.
Second: At the beginning of the film, a line of the protagonist implicitly stated a reason: "The mobile phone uses a cellular mobile network". Everything stems from mobile phones. Now too many people are "head-downers", family gatherings , class reunions, all kinds of gatherings are all playing with mobile phones, so that people-to-people communication is all on the Internet, but face-to-face communication is rare. Office staff face the computer every day, can shop online after work, and can have leisure and entertainment. The film describes the first death who did not dare to go out, that is, the Canadian boy who did not go out for 6 months, and the boy who committed suicide at the age of 16. It is mentioned in the lines that some children in Japan only know how to play games at home and don't even know what season is outside. The second case is an old man in the office who works with the protagonist, but hardly speaks. He eats and sleeps in the office for many days without going out;
by the end of the film, the protagonist's child has grown up. That was over ten or twenty years. During this period of time, there was no man-made destruction of nature, the protagonist's house was lined with trees, there was no Internet, no mobile phones, the earth's environment was improved, and the children went to find their new life.
But why doesn't the protagonist dare to go out? I feel that it should be a metaphor that these people have already formed a habit, which is difficult to change. At the same time, it also reminds us: stop destroying nature one day earlier, and communicate more with people, in order to have a better future.
The above is purely personal opinion. Do not hesitate to spray.
