Emily Dickinson

I didn't like to read biographies since I was a child, but recently, as I get older, I feel more and more that biographical films are good-looking, providing a certain shape pressed by the gears in the operation of the real world. The soundtrack and rhythm of modern pop are very good, and the acting style of the actors is excellent, and sometimes there is some musical/drama feeling (the first six episodes), amplifying the drama at the end, and simplifying the non-key points. This avoids redundancy and increases power.

The first episode is the poem of the god of death. In Emily's brain hole, the god of death takes her for a ride again and again.

Because I could not stop for Death –
He kindly stopped for me –
The Carriage held but just Ourselves –
And Immortality.

The second episode captured the image of the volcano very well. The danger, unknown, and uncertainty of the volcano attracted Em at all times. The unknown is the world she sees full of knowledge and magic, and its uncertainty = the possibility of not knowing when it will spew out, intrinsically attracts her. The Pompeii it devoured was as eternally frozen as Em felt about his situation. I still remember when I was watching the Pompeii exhibition, the bodies that were burned to black were curled up, and time was frozen on the beautiful mosaic tiles. In this episode, there is a section where my mother "reasons" with her, which is very heartbreaking. I am also a little princess like Em who only cares about what she wants and who expresses herself crazily when she grows up, and my mother is not good at expressing emotions; Knowing that my mother does not like being robbed of the status of a manager, my father is respectable as a provider, but our self-centered and somewhat childish "rebellion" only pushes us to express our emotions, and does not allow us to be sympathetic to their desires and emotions for control.

The third episode doesn't have a special feeling, wild nights is very good. I quite like George, the little boy hahaha.

Futile - the winds - To a Heart in port - Done with the Compass - Done with the Chart!

The fourth episode of Thoreau's big reveal hahahahahahahaha. More and more I feel that Em's story is very appropriate in this day and age (at least for me): we have love (even doting) but don't know our parents; people are different, they think they are lonely, and they can't meet each other For loneliness; the more things there are, the more "sorrow" is "forcing new words". But I always believe that a rich brain is not a bad thing, and I hope to give myself enough ability to face loneliness.

Episode 5 about Patriarchy. Orthello Act 3 Scene 3 love it. "For she had eyes and chose me."

To say my wife is fair, feeds well, loves company,
Is free of speech, sings, plays, and dances.
Where virtue is, these are more virtuous.
Nor from mine own weak merits will I draw
The smallest fear or doubt of her revolt,
For she had eyes and chose me. No, Iago,
I'll see before I doubt, when I doubt, prove,
And on the proof there is no more but this:
Away at once with love or jealousy!

Episode 6 taught me that the word slant means something other than squinting people is reading this poem for the first time. What I thought at the time was that this woman was really strong and masculine. Unexpectedly, the "Tell the truth but tell it slant" she mentioned is conveyed in this book through the truth related to love: the direct expression and indirect expression of true feelings. When they thought Em was about to die, the parents directly told her a real but unspeakable secret, thus letting go of themselves and indirectly expressing their love and nostalgia for Em; Austin's real emotion was that he loved Em, his sister, Love Sue, but instead of expressing a word of love directly, he said "Can you not die" and "I'd rather look at a Sue I don't understand forever in my life than marry someone who can see the bottom line" , instead showing love in detail and sincerity; Em's sensitivity allows her to experience those real emotions from these slant's words. I have a really bad memory but I remember a lot of lines from this song. Hahahaha I was thinking why md wants to slant? ? What can't you say directly? ?

Tell all the truth but tell it slant —
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth's superb surprise
As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually
Or every man be blind —

Episode 7 Freak is a great word. "Nobody knows this little rose". Only those who have picked it up are qualified to say let it go.

Episode 8 "I'm Just Grateful That You Was Born" The love words I want to hear the most when I'm lonely recently? ? Em describes Mr. Freak: With him I am studying. I can tell him everything and he understands me.

The ninth episode of Mr. freak's death is quite necessary. I really like the horror of the brain hole that flies all over his face - the texture of death.

Episode 10 Wedding and Power.
