The latest two episodes of "The King" and a few reasoning comments have aroused my desire to write a drama review, so let's follow the trend and write my own reasoning, it will be interesting to see how many slaps in the face after the fact :)
First of all, I want to make it clear that when I saw the drama review of Dou Youren's Invincible EP5-6, I realized that I was truly face-blind, and the correspondence between the roles of the Empire and the Republic of China had been missed so much. Therefore, when watching EP7 and 8, be extra careful. Even so, when I was in the discussion area, I still found that I missed some character correspondences, so I would like to thank you all.
By the eighth episode, the plot has become clear, this drama should not be treated as a romance drama, but a suspense drama. The screenwriter's handling of love is still quite embarrassing. The chemical reactions of the male and female protagonists are difficult to resonate. However, as a suspense drama, it is very intriguing, and even the far-reaching layout is quite creepy.
Okay, now let's start with some of my inferences about character and plot development
1. First and foremost, the most important supporting role, Kang Sin-jae. Although he is the third male, I believe that it will be very helpful for the later plot advancement and breaking fans, and its role in this regard should be higher than Cao Ying. By the eighth episode, the basic situation has become clear, as I expected, Jiang Xinzai is indeed the Republic of China who traveled from the empire. It's just that he didn't go by himself (I thought he was ill and his brain waves passed through) but was taken by Li Lin. The purpose should be to coerce the imperial tea maid to be his spy. Because Jiang Xinzai was young in the past, his memories of the past were rather vague. In addition, his parents looked the same as before, so he didn't realize that he was in a completely different world before, but he was very concerned about the memories left in his mind. Puzzled. The mother whose salary was in the Republic of China should not know about it. Her own son may have fallen ill and died or been transferred by Li Lin. Now Jiang Xinzai should recall that he is from the Empire, but Li Lin doesn't know about this situation (Li Lin only knows that Jiang Xinzai discovered the existence of Li Zhixun) Jiang Xinzai is temporarily safe. I can't imagine what means Li Lin will use to deal with Jiang Xinzai, maybe using his biological mother to blackmail him? However, I think Jiang Xinzai should be the king's help in the end.
2. Luna. It was originally thought that Luna brought King to the bamboo forest on purpose. She was a pawn of Li Lin. At present, it seems that she has not yet become a pawn of Li Lin. However, according to the current layout, Li Lin has already obtained Taiyi's work permit, and the purpose must be to use Luna to transfer the real Taiyi. Just judging from her character, it is estimated that it is difficult to be manipulated by Li Lin. Li Lin estimated that he would fall for her.
3. Prime Minister Koo and her mother. Before the benevolent invincible deduced that Prime Minister Koo's mother was Li Lin's person, the umbrella would not be a coincidence, but now it seems that the umbrella is indeed not a coincidence, Li Lin is deliberately approaching Prime Minister Koo's mother. Both newspapers should have been sent by Li Lin to Prime Minister Koo in the name of Prime Minister Koo's mother to inform Prime Minister Koo of the existence of a parallel world. But what is this purpose? Wouldn't it be more direct to replace Prime Minister Gu with a clone of the Republic of China? For the time being, I understand that the role of the prime minister is very difficult to play, and it is impossible to imitate it simply by learning from news and photos (unlike Zhiying), so Li Lin wants to subdue Prime Minister Gu directly. But this is very difficult, because Prime Minister Gu is basically under one person and more than 10,000 people in the empire. Her ambition can only be realized through the king, and there is no reason to betray the king and join Li Lin. Even if she is jealous of Taiyi, it is not enough for her to take refuge in Li Lin. The second way is that Li Lin used her mother to blackmail her. However, Prime Minister Gu has a stronger and stronger character, and I feel that this move may not work well for her. The third way is to blackmail her directly and tell her that if she doesn't obey, she will be replaced by a clone of the Republic of China. The third approach is straightforward and perhaps most effective. This piece of Li Lin's backhand remains to be seen. In addition, Prime Minister Koo's mother recognized Li Lin, and she tried to tell Prime Minister Koo on the phone, but there was no time, Prime Minister Koo's mother was likely to be killed and transferred by Li Lin.
4. King's clone in the Republic of China, Li Zhixun and Li Zhixun's mother. I thought Li Zhixun was dead before, but now seeing the layout of Jinbian, I deeply feel that Li Zhixun should not be dead. Li Lin had no reason to kill Li Zhixun. He was so young at the time and could be easily controlled. Even if he couldn't control it, it would be too late to kill him again. On the contrary, there are many advantages to keeping him. Li Lin may want to use him to replace the real king, so that the Wanxidi and the empire are in his control. It can also be seen from the eighth episode that Li Zhixun's mother tried to commit suicide many times but did not succeed. It is estimated that Li Lin wanted to use her to lure King into the trap. Li Lin knew that it was very difficult to accomplish these things in the empire. Sooner or later, the king would find out that the secret of Wanxi Di entered the world of the Republic of China, so all this could be done in the Republic of China, grab the real king, and then use Li Zhixun to adjust the package.
5. Ministry of Rongjun. At the beginning of the seventh episode, when I saw Bu Rongjun and Lushanggong together, I broke into a cold sweat. I was always worried that Bu Rongjun would push Lushanggong into the sea while talking. No filming?) There are many other comments saying that Bu Rongjun's son was threatened by Li Lin, so Bu Rongjun has actually been used by Li Lin. I don't think it looks like there is yet. Li Lin's death report is a very critical document. If Bu Rongjun was already Li Lin's person, he would not hand this report to the king. So he just did not announce that the deceased was not Li Lin for the purpose of stabilizing the political situation. But maybe this person will be harmed by Li Lin sooner or later. He is too close to Lushang Palace and King, and there will be many benefits for him.
Changes in the next few steps of the plot:
Taiyi is very close to Li Lin's secret. She has a photo of Li Shangdao in her hand. The real Li Shangdao must be in the empire. According to the observations of many bean friends, it is the horse breeder. Once she shows the photo of Li Shangdao to the king by chance, this chess piece in the empire will be void.
In addition, she has discovered that the murderer in the new murder case, Zhang Yanzhi, has two mobile phones. Zhang Yanzhi was used by Li Lin to replace the security sister of the empire (the security sister had given so many shots before, I thought she was a bad person), but Zhang Yanzhi came out The unexpected murder must have destroyed Li Lin's original arrangement. As a pawn, Zhang Yanzhi should be abandoned by Li Lin, but the phone does not know who the screenwriter decided to give it to. But whether or not the mobile phone will be discovered by Taiyi first, the king should have discovered Li Lin's conspiracy to use the people of the Republic of China to gradually transfer the people of the empire.
However, Taiyi is too close to Li Lin's secret, Li Lin should speed up his actions against Luna, and Taiyi will be in danger. It is speculated that there may be a period of time when Luna will replace Taiyi, but Taiyi has too many private conversations with King and Jiang Xinzai, and this replacement is likely to be a helper. (I saw a dialogue between Taiyi and Jiang Xinzai about double eyelids in episode 7, and I wondered if this would be the foreshadowing of Luna's gang.) Of course, the heroine's halo will definitely be saved in the end, and as I mentioned above, I think Luna In the end, it will still be on the king's side.
King is about to meet Lee Ji Hoon's mother soon. This step is likely to be expected by Li Lin. What's going to happen here? If Li Lin seizes the king immediately, it will be difficult to develop later. Therefore, under the protection of Cao Ying, the king left safely. However, if this is the case, it is too simple to advance the plot. It's hard to speculate on Jinbian's layout now.
In short, starting from the ninth episode, I feel that king has gradually taken the initiative and should start to break the game.
So far, the characters and plot development that play a key role in the development of the plot have been deduced. Talk about some other details.
1. 2G mobile phone. I don't understand why it is emphasized in the play that the mobile phones given by Li Lin are all 2G. Is it limited by funds? Because you don't need to perform complicated operations, you don't need a 4G mobile phone?
2. The electricity bill Li Lin paid to the nursing home in episode 7. This sanatorium should be the Yangshan sanatorium investigated by Taiyi in episode 8. The official record of Li Lin's avatar in the Republic of China is that he died in this sanatorium. It seems that this sanatorium has been bought by Li Lin, hiding a lot of secrets about Li Lin's activities in the Republic of China. It is very likely that the people he brought from the Empire will also stay in this sanatorium first.
3. In episode 7, Li Lin replaced the current chairman and heir of the Republic of China HG Group with people from the empire. What is the purpose of this? From the overall layout, it should be helpful for his plan to replace the talents of the empire with people from the Republic of China.
4. Side effects of crossing. One is that time will stop, but this can only be perceived by those who hold the whistle. At the same time, some people who have clones will perceive the existence of their clones. For example, Taiyi saw Luna from the rearview mirror of the car when King was traveling. In episode 7, when King was traveling with Cao Ying, Prime Minister Gu saw his avatar drinking coffee on the TV screen. The scars on Li Lin's face and the scars on King's shoulders will appear in thunderstorms, and the king will still be very painful, but I don't feel that Li Lin will be in pain (I don't know if the difference is meaningful). This should also be a side effect of crossing. Invincible Douyouren thinks this is a combination lock, and I can't confirm whether it has a deeper meaning.
5. No matter who the man in black that King saw when he was a child (either himself or his avatar) was undoubtedly time traveled back. Jin Bian buried parallel space travel and time travel at the same time. So far, time travel has not happened, and I don't know how Jinbian plans to round this stalk.
Finally, let's talk about the love line of the show.
From the perspective of advancing the plot of the suspense drama, it is very necessary for King to fall in love with Taiyi. Because Taiyi is a criminal police officer in the Republic of China, King needs a partner who is a criminal police officer to investigate Li Lin's behavior in the Republic of China. This simple same-sex partner is definitely not deep enough, so it is necessary to have a love with a criminal policeman to advance the plot.
It's just that I still feel that Jin Bian's handling of the relationship between the two is too impatient and rough. King fell in love with Taiyi just because of the job card he got when he was a child, and Taiyi doesn't know how he fell in love with king now. Even after watching episode 8 between the two, it still feels like they lack chemistry with each other.
King's character building is just like what many bean friends have said, such a tragic childhood shadow, it is against common sense to grow into a sunny joke. But Cao Ying, who was so cute as a child, has grown up so cool.
Although I admire Jinbian's layout and foreshadowing, I still feel that the previous episodes are too protracted. If we can compress two episodes, the quality of this drama will be higher.
