What is happiness

I occasionally saw this book in the library and thought the name was very familiar. I knew it was a famous book, so I took it back and read it, but I couldn't read it. After Baidu, I saw the most famous "Australia's Gone with the Wind", and I thought it should be the type I liked. Because I like to float. I just bite the bullet and look down, slowly see a little feeling,

and then find this TV series. Seeing that the color tone of the picture here is so soft, I can't believe that I'm watching the same version. I don't know if the resource I found is a problem of clarity or brightness, and the color looks a bit dark.
I feel that Maggie is very pitiful, and the person he loves will never get, although he really loves her. So I found a substitute and got married, but this person couldn't give her the things she wanted next, a house, a home. The feeling in the book is that Maggie never liked Luke in the first place, and honeymoons are painful. And the feeling of the TV series is that Maggie also has a good impression of Luke without love. If Luke is willing to give her a home, maybe she will not leave him. Luke also took care of Maggie when possible, and was working hard to make money to give her the ranch he wanted. Although he was a lot vulgar compared to Ralph.

The TV series made me notice some things that I didn't notice when I read the book. I don't know if I changed it or ignored it when I read the book. I am very distressed for Zhu Siting, she worked so hard to get her mother's love, and she has a strong self-esteem, showing that I am not uncommon. I feel that my younger brother stole my mother's love, but I love my younger brother so much and treat him very well. Fortunately, in the end, she was still very happy. There was a man who understood her love and was willing to wait until she could accept his love.

Sometimes I think about this question, what is happiness in the end, is it to have the love of those who make people happy, or to get what you want? Do not want to give more is just a burden? Or will it make people happy?

The Thorn Birds quotes

  • Ralph de Bricassart: Fee, she's your daughter. It's as if you never remember that.

Fiona 'Fee' Cleary: Does any woman? What's a daughter? Just a reminder of the pain... a younger version of oneself... who will do all the same things, cry the same tears. No, Father. I try to forget I have a daughter.

  • Meggie Cleary: What kind of god would shut men out of paradise for loving women?

Ralph de Bricassart: A god I still can't give up for you.

    Meggie Cleary: I know.
