I watched this version of the TV series on CCTV many years ago, and I also read the original book and watched it repeatedly. At that time. Especially infatuated with Ralph, Richard Chamberlain performed so well! It's not as simple as handsome characters!
Today, N years later, look again, many plots, or many details have not been noticed before, or have been forgotten. Today, after having some life experience, I can get a lot better. Rejoice!
The original author, Colleen McCullough (19370601-20150129), published this book in 1977 and became famous. The play was filmed in 1983, from 1920 to 1962, when Dane died, spanning 42 years. Even today, when we look at a 100-year-old story filmed 40 years ago, it is still a sigh. Human emotions, no matter ancient or modern, whether Chinese or foreign, are always connected.
The TV series basically restored the original work, the actors are online, the acting skills are superb, and the shooting pictures are beautiful. In addition, the theme music of this play is still heart-warming when I hear it again after N years!
Is the filming location of Matlock island in jervis bay, Australia?
